Naomi Sego announced yesterday that she has hired two former Sego singers. Jerry Gill, from Waycross, Georgia has re-joined Naomi to sing tenor and Scott Spangler from Bristol, Tennessee has re-joined to sing baritone and handle the on-stage emcee duties. Jerry sang tenor for the Sego Brothers and Naomi prior to the death of James Sego, and Scott sang baritone for The Segos from 1999 until 2003.
"I'm very happy these 2 guys have re-joined my group. Since they started helping me out, people have commented how it sounds like me, James, and his late brother, W.R. Sego singing together again. We recently sang for a sold out crowd of over 1,200 people in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the response was overwhelming," stated Sego.
Sego went on to state that Dottie Rambo's recent death has made her realize, "that the Lord still has a song for me to sing, and I plan on doing just that."

Soloist and author Sandy Carter is currently enjoying radio success with her latest project. Her last two singles, "Lord it Hurts" and "Long Winding Road" have both scored Top 100 success nationally. "Lord it Hurts" peaked in the Top 40 in Gospel Music News earlier this year at # 46 and "Long Winding Road" is currently at # 76 and climbing the airplay charts
"I am so thankful my songs are receiving airplay - that way they can minister to others as much as they minister to me," stated Sandy.
Sandy Carter and her husband Jerry have been singing Gospel Music for over thirty years when in August 2005, Sandy was stricken with a rare form of rheumatoid arthritis that affected her trunk and throat muscles, leaving her nearly paralyzed and unable to walk, speak or sing. After months of therapy, God brought her back to where she is today - able to walk, talk and sing with a voice and testimony stronger than ever. In addition to singing, Sandy has written a devotional entitled, "Keep Singing When the Music Stops" and she and Jerry have penned over a dozen songs, and recorded two dozen albums.
"I really appreciate where Sandy and her ministry are going," stated Rick Hendrix.
"I feel she has just begun to let God use her voice and testimony," said Carmen Beatriz of KORI radio in Louisiana.

Union Hill Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Alabama put on one of the last Independence Day celebrations of the weekend.
“It is awesome. God's blessed us with some great weather; people showed up for the event. We just wanted people to know that freedom's not just about independence in our country, that we also have freedom of Jesus Christ," says Union Hill Pastor Mickey Bell.
2500+ fans filled the lawns at Oak Grove Memorial Park, former sight of Oak Grove High School where a devastating tornado destroyed the school in 1998. Concert goers enjoyed the sounds of New Ground and Michael English.
Bell says the event wasn't just for the Union Hill congregation, "A lot of other churches, a lot of other businesses and people have come to help us with this event, so we're very thankful for them, because without them we couldn't do it."
Bell not only worked to put the event together, he also jumped on stage with Scottsboro, Alabama's New Ground.

Madi Taff, the 15 year old daughter of Russ Taff, was body surfing in waist deep water with her little sister on June 1 in Cherry Grove, S.C., when a small shark bit her foot. Taff thought she had been bitten by a large crab. Russ Taff who was reading on the beach quickly applied pressure and called for the life guards. The life guards recognized the bite as that of a shark, thought to be most likely a sand bar or black tip shark. Judging by the bite, doctors said the shark was about 5 feet long with a large mouth and razor teeth.
Eemergency room staff and locals said they had never seen a shark attack until this case as sharks are rarely seen off the South Carolina coast. Taff's stitches were removed on Sunday, and she is back home and doing fine.
According to reports the chances of being bitten by a shark in South Carolina are one in eleven million.

"I have worked hard on these compositions and feel that these songs are some of the best God had allowed me to write." stated MO. "Actually, I have written five brand new songs, and also have decided to go back and redo five songs that most people have either forgotten, or have never even heard".
This release will feature a broad spectrum of music from progressive southern gospel, to kickin' country, and even a dramatic song that is unlike anything Big Mo has ever done.
Big Mo records for Near Eternity records, and can be contacted by visiting the ministry website at http://www.bigmoministries.com
Yesterday, Sheri Easter learned as a result of testing, that she has breast cancer. The report came after a recent biopsy as stated on Sheri's blog on http://www.gaither.com. She will be undergoing surgery with the possibility of a mastectomy.
Jeff and Sheri have been an unwavering influence in the Gospel Music industry for over twenty years. Their success is such, as legends are made of. Their life, music and testimony resonate in the hearts of their audiences everywhere because of the reality of which they sing! Sheri's testimony to her audiences could not be more profound than what came from her hand today, in her blog, when she wrote "I wonder how many times in my life I've used the word "planned"? My schedule doesn't have an opening for cancer. I'm a scheduler and a very good one at that, but even I can't schedule life onto a calender".
Jeff and Sheri Easter covet your prayers at this time, as Jeff reminds us, "Why should I dwell on the hardships and struggles when I look just beyond them I see....the way this will end is with great celebration and deep in my heart I believe. Over and over, again and again, God is faithful!"

Holly Blanton of 3 For 1 has released her first solo recording in over 10 years.
"This past few years have held some of the best and some of the worst times in my life. I've weathered many storms and have somehow still come through them with a song in my heart because of God's amazing love and comfort. I have chosen songs on this album that mean a lot to me because of their message and because even people in ministry need to be reminded and encouraged to never loose faith and realize that we have a friend that is always with us in the good times as well as the bad times."
