Yesterday, Sheri Easter learned as a result of testing, that she has breast cancer. The report came after a recent biopsy as stated on Sheri's blog on http://www.gaither.com. She will be undergoing surgery with the possibility of a mastectomy.
Jeff and Sheri have been an unwavering influence in the Gospel Music industry for over twenty years. Their success is such, as legends are made of. Their life, music and testimony resonate in the hearts of their audiences everywhere because of the reality of which they sing! Sheri's testimony to her audiences could not be more profound than what came from her hand today, in her blog, when she wrote "I wonder how many times in my life I've used the word "planned"? My schedule doesn't have an opening for cancer. I'm a scheduler and a very good one at that, but even I can't schedule life onto a calender".
Jeff and Sheri Easter covet your prayers at this time, as Jeff reminds us, "Why should I dwell on the hardships and struggles when I look just beyond them I see....the way this will end is with great celebration and deep in my heart I believe. Over and over, again and again, God is faithful!"

Sherri, We are praying for you. God is still in control and He will reward those who diligently seek Him. I love you and know that God has a reason for everything. Please be encouraged and don't let the devil see your fear but remind him daily that God is your source of strength and by His stripes, you are Healed. I've known you for a long time and we share the same birthday and I feel for you, but I know that you trust God, just like I do. You are so spcial to God and so many people. Know that our prayers and the prayers of people around the world can change things. Hold on,God is not finished with you yet. I love you. Darlene (The Shireys (UNITY)

Dear Sheri,
Greater Vision's Rodney wrote "God Wants To Hear You Sing". Please get a copy, and it may help you like it did in my life! I'm a mastectomy survivor (1982), Having a very dear goal in mind is all that helped me through some very heavy chemo, lots of prayers, lots of family help. I could have used his song then. But I'm here, and going strong, to be 73 years old Thursday.
His song has helped my outlook, and spiritually elevated my humility to His praise and His plan.
God bless, Sheri, and I WILL SEE YOU at the National Quartet Convention. I love you!

(and your SMILE is the nicest thing I always look forward to seeing, when I see you on a Gaither video. It ALWAYS makes me smile!)
