Palmetto State Quartet has added Casey Martin as their keyboardist. Casey has performed with such artists as Al Jarreau, Angela Winbush and most recently toured with Ivan Parker and Janet Paschel. His background consists of jazz and Contemporary Christian Music, but he admits that the music that has most touched him is Southern Gospel Music. He has not only accepted the position with PSQ, but feels God’s absolute calling to this group and ministry. Casey has already become a very important contributor to PSQ’s nightly performances. He ministers with his testimony and words of encouragement followed by a saxophone solo that captivates the audience! Casey views the overwhelming response of the people as an opportunity to share God’s love with them.

Kerry Beatty, who has been a PSQ member for ten years, says “Palmetto State Quartet has a fresh sound and a new direction.”

“Casey is truly a God send” stated Brian Beatty. “He is simply the most advanced and tasteful keyboardist I have ever heard. He produced the music for our latest project and there is simple no end to his creativity and attention to detail!”

The current members are Kerry Beatty, Brian Beatty (Kerry’s brother), and Larry Strickland, who sang with J.D. Sumner & the Stamps for six years, along with Jeremy Calloway, tenor from Owensboro, KY. They have just completed two projects which will contain a great variety of Gospel Music.
