The Toney Brothers of Nashville, TN announced today that George Amon Webster has joined the group, as baritone, and Royce Taylor as the new lead.
Taylor began filling in as baritone and later as tenor last August. Taylor has performed with the Chords from Youngstown, OH and with the Stamps and the Blackwoods.
Webster, no stranger to the industry, spent 10 years with the Cathedrals, and more recently with The Brothers, The Heartland Boys, The Blackwoods, and the George Amon Webster Trio. He made his first official appearance with the Toney Brothers at their 52nd Anniversary Concert with the Dove Brothers. McCray Dove stated, "It was the Big, Full, Sound, that The Toney Brothers had been looking for."
Terry Toney expressed his excitement about what these two men bring to the table with them, both of these men having owned and managed their own groups.
