NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Allen Smith of SGN Scoops Magazine, home of the Diamond Awards, is proud to announce the addition of two new sponsors for the upcoming SGN Scoops Diamond Awards.

Southerngospelhits.com recently signed on as a new Gold Sponsor for the event. Southerngospelhits.com is owned and operated by FowlerComm Christian Entertainment and seeks direction from a non-owning, non-interest Board of Directors. FowlerComm is operated by Bryan K. Fowler and his wife, Lois, whom serve as President and Vice-President respectively. Fowler is a life long Broadcaster, having programmed and worked for broadcast tycoons ClearChannel Worldwide, Citadel Broadcasting and several independent stations. He programmed his first Christian Music Station at the age of 18 in Ohio.

In addition, Southerngospelhits.com will be broadcasting the 2007 SGN Scoops Diamond Awards live via the internet. This is the first live on-location broadcast for any Southern Gospel internet station.

“We are very excited to have Southerngospelhits.com signing on as a sponsor and broadcasting the awards program live,” mentioned Allen Smith. “We are making history this year with the 2007 SGN Scoops Diamond Awards.”

In addition to the new Gold Sponsor, Sonrise Christian Voices has signed on as a new co-sponsor for the event. Sonrise Christian Voices is one of the Southern Gospel industry’s most respected radio promotion companies and is owned and operated by Keith and Joy Rider. The company currently promotes artists like Karen Peck & New River, Talley Trio, Shiloh, and many more.

“Sonrise Christian Voices is one of Southern Gospel’s leading companies,” said Allen Smith. “We’re excited that they wanted to be a part of our awards program.”

The 2007 SGN Scoops Diamond Awards will take place on Friday, September 14, 2007 in the Mary Room of the Executive West Hotel at the entrance of the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky during the week of the National Quartet Convention. The program will begin at 1:00 p.m. and is free to the public.

The 2007 awards program will be hosted by two of Southern Gospel’s most beloved faces – Karen Peck Gooch and Johnathan Bond.

The SGN Scoops Diamond Awards recently announced a new corporate sponsor and location for the 2007 Diamond Awards. Wilds & Associates has signed on as the corporate sponsor for the 2007 SGN Scoops Diamond Awards. Also, The Brannin Agency is a Silver sponsor for the event, while Southern Spin Entertainment, SGMRadio.com, and 770 AM Southern Gospel – Kentucky’s Official Voice of NQC have signed on as co-sponsors for this year’s event.

In addition to the new sponsor, the 2007 SGN Scoops Diamond Awards will be presented in a new location. The awards program will take place in the Mary Room of the Executive West Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, which is a much larger location than in year’s past.

The first list of performers for the 2007 SGN Scoops Diamond Awards were announced last month. The 2007 SGN Scoops Diamond Awards will feature performances from Karen Peck & New River, Dove Brothers Quartet, Gerald Crabb, the Northmen, Sunday Edition, Amazed, Sounds of Victory, Josh Franks, Relations Quartet, and Loretta Withee. Additional performers and presenters will be announced when they become available.

About the Diamond Awards
The Diamond Awards were transferred over to the SGN Scoops Magazine three years ago after the original home for the awards, the Gospel Voice Magazine, folded. The Diamond Awards are a fan based award that allows the fans to choose the nominees as well as the winners each year. The awards show is based during the National Quartet Convention every September.
