Oh How I hate to hear that Doug is gone from this world but glad to know that he is a Christian and is in Heaven with God. He was by far one of the greatest drummers ever! And a great, great man.
Riley's, I want you to know that our family, and our church, is praying for you guys. God will help you get through this difficult time.
In Love,

Like others who wrote, I am shocked and saddened at the loss of someone very dear to me, Doug Riley. Doug and I had lots of good talks about songwriting, and he was such a talented and humble young man. I can't even begin to know how badly his family is hurting. But I know the God his family knows, and He is the One who will send the grace and comfort to sustain them as we lift them all up in prayer. How wonderful that we who know the Lord have the Blessed Hope and know we'll see Doug again. OH, but I will miss him! My prayers to all wife and children, his parents and ALL the family, and his Gold City quartet mates. Doug Darlin', I know by how you've sat in with the Angel Band. Love to all the family from Dianne Wilkinson.

Tim, I am Mary, Rodney LaShum's sister. I am so sorry to hear about the son. You know that is just how Rodney died. Going to do God work and the Lord decided to take Rodney home just like he did with Doug. Rodney play the piano for the Gold City for 3 years and it was great. Remember Tim you came to his mother susprise bithday party there in B'ham. Back in the 80's. I am so sorry, you and your family are on our pray list here at Anniston First Baptist Church at McClellan. The feeling will never go away and you will always miss him but trusting in God, he will make it easier. God Love you and your family. Rodney LaShum's sister Mary Lawton
