Crystal River Nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Crystal River, an exciting young quartet on the rise in Southern Gospel, was recently nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year in the 2006 SGN Music Awards.
“We are so excited and humbled by this nomination,” mentioned Zack McGill of Crystal River. “We obviously want to thank the staff of SouthernGospelNews.com for remembering us. We had a whirlwind of a year last year, and this kind of tops it all off. This is just awesome news1”
The nominees for the SGN Music Awards were chosen by the staff of SouthernGospelNews.com. Starting on February 8, 2006, the fans will get a chance to vote for their favorites in each category. On February 1, 2006, fans will also get a chance to vote for Fan Favorite Artist of the Year, a new category to the awards.
Winners of the awards will be announced at the 2006 SGN Music Awards Celebration on April 25, 2006 in Smyrna, Tennessee. Performers, hosts, sponsors and the venue for the awards celebration will be announced at a later date.
“We are very proud of Crystal River and their achievements this past year,” mentioned Amy Marie Unthank of Southern Spin Entertainment. “They had a huge year last year, and we know that 2006 is going to be even bigger and better for this great group!”

Crystal River is a southern gospel quartet made up of four young men. Members include Zack McGill, Dusty Barrett, Jeremy Lile, and Jeff Snyder. The group is based out of Knoxville, Tennessee. Their latest single, “Sailing,” is currently impacting Southern Gospel radio across the nation.
