Dave Foraker announced today that he and The Emmaus Road Vocal Band will be parting company at the end of October. Due to family obligations & special considerations, Nathan & Janelle Flint have decided to pursue other ventures that will allow them more time at home. The Flints are parents of 18-month old twins & a 4-year old son with autistic tendencies.

"At a time when God is opening more doors of opportunity for our ministry, Nathan & Janelle found it increasingly difficult to spend time away from their family obligations. I fully understand & support their decision", stated Foraker. "Nathan & Janelle are amazing musicians & supremely gifted vocalists. With their departure at the end of next month, I am considering several options for upcoming performances... whether to continue on as a solo artist, as I've done in the past... or to put together a new band... I guess I'll make the decision in the next week or so."

Foraker, who spent years on the "blues circuit", recently turned his attention & talents toward Southern Gospel with a new CD, "Thank The Lord". The first release from the CD, "Nothing But The Blood" is receiving airplay from SG radio around the country, & recently broke onto The Singing News Top 80.

What a shame! I've been following Dave & his music for almost 20 years, & I know that he was very happy working with this group. We saw them in Marion, NC just a few weeks ago and there harmonies were incredible. Emmaus Road was such a departure for Dave, after years of working with blues/rock bands.
Whatever is next for Mr. Foraker, I'm sure that God will be honored & glorified.
