GASTONIA, North Carolina - The Pathfinders, one of Southern Gospel’s rising talents, are pleased to announce the addition of Jay Anderson as the group’s new lead singer.

Jay Anderson recently moved to High Point, North Carolina after residing in Dodge City, Kansas his entire life. Anderson was raised in a musical family and has held many positions, both musical and otherwise, in the church. Jay has been married to Dawna Anderson for over 18 years.

“The Lord has prepared my heart to serve Him, and we count it a privilege to do so with The Pathfinders,” mentioned Jay. “Dawna is just as much a part of The Pathfinders as those of us who sing. She has put up with my many evenings out for practice, hearing the same songs over and over again as I put the words to memory and a quick week at the National Quartet Convention. She is a trooper and I could not do this without her full support. I praise the Lord for a Godly woman whom He has given me to share this wonderful opportunity with.”

“We are extremely honored to get to share the stage with Jay,” said Dawn McGuire of The Pathfinders. “He has a great voice, and we feel that it keeps our harmony just as tight as it has ever been. We look forward to the new direction that we are heading in!”

“I am very excited to be a part of The Pathfinders ministry!” said Jay. “Dawn and Dearl have been wonderful to work with and were very patient with me as I sought the Lord in the decision to join their ministry team. I am excited about what the future holds for us and what lives will be touched and changed through The Pathfinders’ ministry for the furthering of our Lord’s Kingdom.”

The talented trio just recently made their first appearance with Jay at the National Quartet Convention Artist Spotlight Showcase this month in Louisville, Kentucky. The group also took the stage at the Southern Spin Showcase and Heritage Communication Showcase that week.

“Carried By Grace” is the group’s current single currently impacting Southern Gospel radio. The song was written by Cyle Cornish and Rebecca J. Peck, and it is being pushed to radio by Heritage Communications.

Anderson replaces Greg Gainer who left The Pathfinders to sing with Mercy’s Well.
