Please advise me of when the Harmony Awards show will be shown on T.V. I was unable to attend the live show.

    Thank you so much, Joe

I was at the Harmony Honors last night. I was very impressed by the number of artists that were present and the presentation of the show was just great; however, I am a little dissappointed that not all of the artists that were nominated showed up and what a surprise it was that the first THREE awards given out didn't have anyone there to represent the group or organization. Others didn't show up as well that won awards--I won't name any names grin, but there initials are, S-i-n-g-i-n-g- N-e-w-s, G-a-i-t-h-e-r, and S-i-g-n-a-t-u-r-e- S-o-u-n-d- Q-u-a-r-t-e-t. Roger Bennett was in the hospital and couldn't attend. Danny Jones also was a no-show. For this being the First Southern Gospel Music Guild (SGMG) Harmony Honors Award Show one would believe that this would have been important for everyone in the industry to be a part of especially if you were nominated.

As far as the performances-they were all top notch. Congrats to the Perry's. They work very hard, and it is about time that there efforts are being recoonized amongst their peers in the Southern Gospel Music industry. That showed last night as they took home the award for Favorite Album and Song.

My recommendation for all award shows in the future. If the individuals that are nominated do not have the descency to show up and they actually WIN the award, instead of giving some worn out excuse like "So and So couldn't be here tonight because they had a hair appointment...." Just say "So and So didn't show up tonight so we're going to give this award to the next runner up who drove 2000 miles in 12 hours to be here just because it's the RIGHT THING TO DO.

I wanted to go to the awards but was unable to attend.

Open question to anyone who went...Did Christlike get to sing? How did you like those guys?

I think they are destined for greatness.

    Thanks for your replies

I attended the Harmony Awards last night, mainly to see a lot of old friends I haven't seen in awhile, however, I was truly blessed by the sincerity of everyone that did attend. Also, I was pleasantly impressed by a rather new group, Three Bridges, I believe they were called. I'm glad the Perry's are receiving the attention they have deserved for a long time. I've known them for a long time and have performed with them all over this nation and they have NEVER changed their approach. Also glad for the Crabb Family as I think they are vital to expanding the SG audience. The best part of all was I only drove less than five miles from home to be there!
