Bessemer City, NC (Press Release) - Son Sound Music Group of Bessemer City, NC, is pleased to announce the signing of the Far City Boys of Forest City, NC to an exclusive multi-year recording contract with their Son Sound Platinum Recording label. The Far City Boys, while yet a very new name in the Gospel industry have been performing and ministering in their local area in churches and concert for quite some time. Many bluegrass fans will remember Ralph Stanley. Group member Mike Street used to play upright bass with Ralph and other bluegrass acts. The group is comprised of Mike Street, Kevin Street, Roger Holland, Phillip Jenkins and Chris Koone. Son Sound Vice President, Mike Robinson describes their sound as, “One of the best bluegrass acts to come through our doors. They have a powerful blend and an enthusiasm for ministry," We are excited and are looking forward to what God will do with the combination of Son Sound Platinum Records and the Far City Boys." Their debut Son Sound release is tentatively slated for Fall 2004! For more information about The Far City Boys you can access their website at http://www.farcityboys.com
