My husband and I went to Fyffe on our way home from Florida (we are snowbirds) We found the Highway Church of God and was thrilled to go in side. The pastor's wife gave us 1988 church directy > In side the church was a beautfil stained glass in memory of Cat Freeman. Vestal looked a lot like her mother. We then went to the little cemetery up the lane. A marker for Cat Freeman was beautfil. Vestal, I loved you. See you in our father's house.

"Oh come angel band, come and around me stand, oh bear me away on your snowy wings to MY emortal HOME"... at last, at last FINALLY FINALLY HOME WITH JESUS! We miss you a lot Vestal. I listen to your songs to and from work... and I could not even be able to tell which I would sing for you now - if I were with you there. I love you hear you sing... "THIS IS WHAT HEVEN MEANS TO ME..." and now, I know you are looking at the BLESSED FACE OF JESUS - the One you sing about all your life... God bless you 'til we meet again. Maggiemae and John Baerken

I still miss seeing Vestal on the Gaither's Homecomings, I listen often to her Music, she was such an imspiration in her Song's, I can just see her In The Presense Of The King, after her Meeting with Howard at the Eastern Gate, I Loved Her Singing, Wish I could have met her in Life, I'll meet her in Heaven Someday, God Bless You Vestal

for decades I always wanted to see Vestal and finally she came to San Antonio. I bought the ticket way in advance. Then time passed and a person told me she died. I broke down crying in my car. I never realized how much she meant to me. I was surprized at my own self getting so emotional about any celebrity. I must really love her a lot

I must say that Vestal Goodman was my gospel music "hero" if you will. To watch her sing about Jesus you could almost see what she was singing about. She was truly a spirit filled lady. She was the sole reason for my love of Gospel music, but most of all she is the reason I am saved and on my journey to heaven. I had stage 4 cancer of the liver and lymph nodes in 2009, and her music gave me so much comfort and strengh through that ordeal. I am over two years cancer free. I never spent one second being scared to die becaause of my salvationa and faith in the lord Jesus. If I died fine and if I lived fine I was a winner either way. I know you are there in heaven Vestal. My favorite song sung her was "Holy Hill"

These are they was my favorite song Vestal sang, she said bill gather wrote it for her. She had a special loce for God's chosen people. She spent her life praying for God's people, and I think the song is about the 144000 that will have their robes washed in the blood of the Lamb. As she sings it I can see that throng celebrating those Jews whom God provided for.

I never met Vestal, but the first time I saw her on TV she won me over with her smiles, her voice, her reminding us of the special life we have in Christ and the the glorious hope of Heaven! I have been listening to her music ever since. I wish I had met her in person. What a woman of Faith! She is an example to me. I very much look foward to seeing her in Heaven one day.
