Adoration, a Goldsboro, NC based male quartet, announces their first national radio release, "I'm Going Higher". This is the debut release from their "Going Higher" project. Early reviews have been enthusiastic and "I'm Going Higher" is enjoying strong listener response. Adoration is comprised of some familiar faces to the Southern Gospel Music industry: Terry Carter, manager and baritone for Adoration, was nominated for favorite baritone in the prestigious Singing News Fan Awards; Brian Routh, co-founder and tenor, has been nominated for Favorite Horizon Individual and Favorite Young Artist. Joining Terry and Brian are Kirk Henry singing lead, Chris Serlick singing bass and Duane West on piano. Many might already know, but there are two Adoration groups that have been mentioned on this webpage--one is a female trio and the other is the subject of this release. I've had the opportunity to hear both. If you are a fan of the traditional, male quartet, I'm sure you would like Terry and Brian's group. On the other hand, if you are interested in a more cutting-edge, contemporary sound with wonderful female harmonies, your best bet is the other Adoration. For what it's worth, my preference is for the latter.

I am a fan of great singing and have seen lots of groups so I can say without any hesitation that Adoration is great! I have seen this quartet several times and they get better all the time. I can see them being around for a long time because they have great voices, great personalities and they are the same men on stage as off. Congrats on the first single guys, I look forward to many more.

I love this group and the new song, but we are still waiting for radio to start playing the song here in the Hickory, NC area

We really are excited about the release of "I'm Going Higher", a good friend of the group named Greg Simpkins wrote it. Many people may remember a previous song he wrote called "Come On In". As a group we have been blessed beyond words this past year, we are just kind of stepping back in wonder at all that has taken place and we're looking forward to what's coming in the future.
I noticed an earlier comment about there being two Adoration's. I have heard the music of the Adoration Trio and they are wonderful. I doubt that there will be any confusion between the two groups. Terry and Brian have easily recognizable voices and besides Tiffany, Cayce, and Joy are much prettier than we are! Speaking for myself, I believe we all serve a great big God who has plenty of work for both groups to do. Thanks for the kind comments, and helping spread the word!

    Hi, Kirk--
I agree totally with you. My name is Joy, and I sing with the "other Adoration". I grew up listening to Mr. Terry sing, and acutally got saved under the minstry of the Anchormen during Terry's tenure with them, so he, and any minstry that he is engaged in, will be special to me. I pray God's continued blessings on you and the minstry of Adoration. The harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few. We definitely need to keep our eyes on what's important. Thanks for you encouragement.

I agree with the former "Dr. Blue" comment--- the female trio "Adoration" -- who has been in existence for several years -- is AWESOME!!! I have seen them in concert several times and they are very ministry oriented.
I was under the impression that this group had the name "Terry Carter and Adoration" and the female trio is "Adoration" (not Adoration Trio)-- it seems that you would've researched to see if another group who minsters in their area had that same name and would've chosen not to perform under the same name. It is a little confusing when you try to go to a concert and it's not who you thought you were going to see.
