The Prophets

The long awaited CD by the reorganized Prophets Quartet is finally here. This new group of Prophets is not exactly new faces to Southern Gospel Music. Consisting of the original founder of the Prophets, Ed Hill, who sang with them for many, many years before joining such groups as the Singing Americans, JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, and the Master's Five, who is singing the Baritone part, Bill Baize who formerly sang with the Smitty Gatlin Trio, and JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, Mike Allen formerly of Poet Voices and Bill Gaither's Homecoming concerts, and new comer, Paul Jackson who is a Pastor and evangelist.
This CD has a great mix of old Prophets tunes, such as "I Can Call On Jesus Anytime" and "Love Like The Sun" and five songs from the pen of Paul Jackson. Produced by Johnny Minick, Michael Sykes, and Aaron Minick the CD has a nice variety of styles. Take a listen and you are sure to enjoy this new recording by the ever popular Prophets Quartet.
My favorites are "Love Like The Sun", "One Thing The Father Forgets", and "How I Want You To Know.
