No comments on how much Jesus was preached on Idol the past two days?  I for one, loved it!  What about the Clark Brothers song?  Different, but I liked it.

Did anyone else like Jason Castro’s song?

I really enjoyed last nights show and I am glad its taped to watch again and again.

Good night last night.

I really didn’t care for David Cook’s song last night, thought it was strange.
Could be Syesha’s night to go home.  It’s getting harder and harder to send someone home - they’re all good.

Thought Kristy Lee was great last night - judges did too!

Well, I haven’t been voting much, so can’t complain, but I didn’t feel like it was Michael’s week to go.  Kristy or Syesha should have went, but….. Oh well.

I really like David Cook, wasn’t too keen on his song this week, but he can really sing.

Great to see Jordin Sparks,  I really enjoyed the Idols on tour last year.  It was a great concert!

Can’t wait to see what next week is about!

I was SHOCKED at Michael Johns going home!

But, the BEST part of the night was that they opened with all the contestants singing “Shout to the Lord”!!!!  Jesus’ name preached - AGAIN!!!  Well - GGGGGGLLLLOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I still can’t decide if I care enough to keep watching Idol now that Micahel was robbed.  That just doesn’t make sense to me!!

I agree—great to have them open with “Shout to the Lord”!!!

Well, buh bye to Kristy Lee Cook!  I liked her and she was improving every week.  I’d wager that she’ll have a country contract before the month is over!!  Besides she gets to tour with the top 10 all summer!

Judges raved over David Cook’s song, but I didn’t get it.  Oh well, I’m old!  smile

Andrew Lloyd Weber night.  The ones who blew me away were Syesha and Carly!!!  Syesha sang One Rock & Roll Too Many and Carly sang, Jesus Christ, Superstar.  Both gals really belted it out.

Poor Brooke!  she could have sealed her fate to go home!  She started her song, evidently forgot the words and started over!  A BIG no-no according to Paula.  Her voice wasn’t strong after the re-do.

Jason sang Memory - IMHO wasn’t too Memorable.

David A - Randy and Paula raved over his song, and I was with Simon - pleasant but not memorable

David Cook sang well, but I wasn’t as blown away as the judges.

I bet you were shocked to see Syesha and Carly in the bottom two, then.  You just never know how the voting will go at this point.  I can’t wait to see next week with Neil Diamond.  His songs were so good…..it will be interesting to see what songs everyone chooses.

yep - I was totally blown away that BOTH my favorite performances from the previous night were the bottom 2.  Many folks didn’t like Carly, but I always liked her voice.  Sad she’s gone buh bye now!

I hate that Carly is gone.. she was the best.  I really don’t care who wins now. Mr dreadlocks should have been gone about 5 weeks ago. He is not in the same calibre as those remaining.  Not even close.

Jason (Mr. Dreadlocks!) has the “cute factor” going for him.  All the teen, pre-teen girls are voting for him.

This show has credibility up to the point the fans start voting (top 24, I believe). Thereafter, it’s gone. Add in Paula’s cheerleading and it’s beyond laughable. I used to be in 100% agreement with Simon’s appraisals, but even he surprises me now. He’s getting soft, especially when it involves a female that tugs at his heart a little.

The two Davids should be the last two. I like Archuletas’s voice the best, but Cook has that star quality that “should’ put him over the top. The fact that Jason and Brooke are still in it is a joke.

This is all not too surprising. In the six previous years, the fans have only gotten it right once, IMHO (Carrie Underwood ). We’ll see about this year.

I surely understand what you mean!  Once the fans start voting, it turns into a popularity contest or who has the most of the “cuteness factor”!  I wish the judges opinions carried more weight!  Dancing with the Stars isn’t perfect - by a long shot - but at least the judges scores do count for something!!!  Also, the votes are restricted.

I’ve always thought at the very least, the judges should select the “Bottom 3” at the end of the show before the voting starts. Then let “America” vote how it wants, but only the lowest vote getter among the Bottom 3 will be voted off. The remaining contestants know Tuesday night know they are safe for the week.
