Oh - I think it’s coming back to me! I think she’s also the one who sold her horse that she dearly loved to finance her trip to the auditions. Knowin she’s a horse lover has me voting for her - I’ve had grands riding horses in 4-H for a number of years, so I’m prejudiced.!
I think I’m wrong about Brook - it’s Kristy Lee Cook who’s the cowgirl, etc., etc. She might be a Christian also, but there’s nothing overt on the AI website. On the website I was just reading thru some fan comments and they mention Kristy as being the one who sang Amazing Grace.
Whatever - I like both Brooke and Kristy, so will vote for both!
Will they just send one person home this week, or will it still be two? I would like to see Amanda and David Hernandez go next.
I think Simon gave David Archuleta some good advice. He is easily my favorite, but I can see him getting in some trouble if he doesn’t show some diversity. I still haven’t seen any of the girls stand out from the others.
I agree with you, I think it should be Hernandez and then Amanda, but I think until it’s down to 8 or so they take 2 at a time. I think this week they whittle it down to 10 then 8 and then they go one at a time, but I could be wrong. David is again, one of the best singers, but I don’t believe America should reward behavior like that.
Really enjoyed tonight…Happy to see David A give a stinky performance, even though I’m a huge fan. He needed to give a crappy performance and get criticism from the judges so people don’t start to think he’s safe.

My top 4 favs last night were the same as yours Chris! The one who blew me away - unexpectedly - was Chikezie! He was really charged up! Carly, Brooke and Jason were also tremendous.
I was amazed that David A actually forgot his words! Worse yet, he allowed it to show on his face! I was wondering if it’s his age, poise, etc - too much too soon????? He does have a marvelous voice though. I’m pretty sure he’s got enough of a fan base to stay the week. Hope you’re right on David H. going home!!! As for the bottom 2 - I had switched Ramiele and Syesha - meaning I liked Syesha a tad more than I liked Ramiele last night - but that’s just an opinion. Time will tell

I agree on your choices. I personally feel those three should be in the bottom. However, I think Kristy Lee Cook will be one of the bottom 3, because of the negativity all of the judges had with what she did with the song. I personally liked it. I am relieved to realize, after one of the judge’s comments last night about fighting for 11 spots, that only 1 goes home. I was thinking it was 2 until there’s 8 left standing.
I’m glad Kristy got another chance - hopefully she’ll pick a better song to go country on.
I agree, I cheered when they told David H he was headed home. I like Kristy and hope she will kick it up several notches next week, although I didn’t think the song was as bad as Simon said it was.
Anita - it seemed to me like there was something in the timing - she and the band didn’t seem to be doing the same song. Some one who knows more about music than I do could probably diagnose the problem, but I don’t have the words! But it was off. I really do like her singing country. Doesn’t someone help them choose????

I don’t think anyone at this point, helps them choose the songs, but Simon told her she should do more of the country flavor song. I think everything could have been together a little better, but considering that was a Beatle song I thought it was good that she would take that big of a chance, and with some work, I think it would be good with a country flavor. She is a great singer, and I don’t think she did as bad as Simon said she did, but it certainly wasn’t one of her better performances. Hopefully she will learn from this and do better next week because I would like to see her stay around for a while. There are a few others, in my opinion, that should go before her. I was just estatic to see David Hernandez leave.
