The ultra left is out to destroy the grocery chain WHOLE FOODS because the CEO and founder John Mackey said he supported “health care reform” but not the package the House and Senate are working on.  He offered EIGHT suggestions.  His only sin was appearing to oppose the President’s plan ... whatever that is.

If you live in an area where these food stores are found, you might consider joining the COUNTER BOYCOTT effort and buying some groceries at WHOLE FOODS.  That would save WHOLE FOODS employees’ jobs which are being threaten by 18,000+ Facebook members.

The chain employees around 50,000 employees.  Mr. Mackey added 8,200 new employees last year.  He works for $1 a year and donates all proceeds from his stock options to charities.  He also provides health care benefits to all employees.  He also put in place a $100,000 “need-based” fund to help WHOLE FOODS employees.

Apparently such a person is regarded as the lunatic right when in fact Mr. Mackey describes himself as a LIBERTARIAN who simply doesn’t think we need the government to take over health care.  It is ridiculous that a person would be villified for saying what he believes in a WSJ op-ed.  So much for free speech.

He was free to speak - and did.  So too now are those who wish to disagree with him.

I don’t know who “ya’ll” includes but it does not include me.

Just as others have a right to boycott, others have a right to COUNTER the boycott.

I simply hope many will. 

Mr. Mackey presented his views in a WSJ Op-Ed.  If the boycotters, oppose what he said, why not write the WSJ and ask for equal time?

How does damaging WHOLE FOODS hurt Mr. Mackey.  He works for $1 a year and the proceeds from his stock options go to charity.  Destroying WHOLE FOODS only hurts the employees of the company.  In addition, the company gives 5% of its proceeds to the LOCAL COMMUNITY.  It simply makes no sense.

One of the boycott leaders was a guest of Greta Van Sustern and ON THE RECORD.  He told Greta that Mr. Mackey was a BAD MAN.  What made him bad?  He didnt’ support a SINGLE PAYER HEALTH CARE SYSTEM.

I guess the man and the other boycoters can believe what they want but is that LOVING?  The man claimed that 60 people a day died in America because there is not a single payer system like in Canada.  What he did not say is how many THOUSANDS of Canadians die while on a waiting list to get treatment or to see a speicialist because there is a year or more waiting period.
