OBAMA ELIGIBILITY COURT CASE….......(PART ONE)

BLOW BY BLOW

Given the testimony from today’s court case in Georgia, Obama has a lot of explaining to do. His attorney, Jablonski, was a NO SHOW as of course, was Obama.
The following is a nutshell account of the proceedings.
Promptly at 9am EST, all attorneys involved in the Obama Georgia eligibility case were called to the Judge’s chambers. This was indeed a very interesting beginning to this long awaited and important case.
The case revolved around the Natural Born clause of the Constitution and whether or not Obama qualifies under it to serve. More to the point, if found ineligible, Obama’s name would not appear on the 2012 ballot in Georgia.
With the small courtroom crowded, several in attendance could be seen fanning themselves with pamphlets as they waited for the return of the attorneys and the appearance of the judge.
Obama himself, who had been subpoenaed to appear, of course was nowhere near Georgia. Instead, Obama was on a campaign swing appearing in Las Vegas and in Colorado ignoring the court in Georgia.
Over the last several weeks, Obama’s attorney, Michael Jablonski, had attempted several tactics to keep this case from moving forward. He first tried to have it dismissed, then argued that it was irrelevant to Obama. After that, Jablonski argued that a state could not, under the law, determine who would or would not be on a ballot and later, that Obama was simply too busy with the duties of office to appear.
After all these arguments were dispatched by the Georgia Court, Jablonski, in desperation, wrote to the Georgia Secretary of State attempting to place Obama above the law and declared that the case was not to he heard and neither he nor his client would participate.
Secretary of State, Brian Kemp, fired back a letter hours later telling Jablonski he was free to abandon the case and not participate but that he would do so at his and his clients peril.
Game on.
5 minutes.
10 minutes.
15 minutes with the attorneys in the judge’s chambers.
20 minutes.
It appears Jablonski is not in attendance as the attorneys return, all go to the plaintiff table 24 minutes after meeting in the judge’s chambers.

Personally, I think it is a rip off that they charge $180 for a pair of shoes that will be worn out in 3 months. I might pay $40 for them and even that would be too much.

Backup city considered for Tokyo

I love babies and children, so stories like this immediately capture my attention.

I’ve been following this two and a half week old case with interest hoping it will not end up like the Casey Anthony case.

Until I saw the interviews with Megyn Kelly on Fox I was neutral on the parents. Now based on what came out in that interview and the mother’s body language, I think the mother is definitely involved.

Any other thoughts?

9/11 10th Anniversary

I didn’t know where else to put this topic so I put it here. I have no objection to it being moved to another folder if there is a more appropriate one.

While many of us will be celebrating the opening of NQC 2011 on Sunday, it will also be a somber day since it will mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

I found a website today that has a weeks worth of 9/11 news broadcasts from around the world. These broadcasts were from Tuesday 9/11/2001 through Monday 9/17/2001. In watching some of the footage, I found myself experiencing the exact same feelings I had on 9/11/01.

I decided to start this topic so that we could discuss 9/11 and its aftermath or just simply talk about what each of us felt or what we were doing that day when the whole world changed.

I was still in the Air Force at the time, just over a year and a half away from retirement. I had taken a break from the clinic I worked in and when I got back, one of the guys who worked for me, Brian Andersen, was plugging in the regular television instead of the patient education television we normally used. I asked him what was going on and he said a patient told him that a plane had hit the world trade center. Things happened really fast after that. The base and the hospital were placed in lockdown. Since none of our patients could get in to see us, all of us in the clinic basically stood in the lobby watching the news coverage.

In the song Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning, Alan Jackson sang a line that said “In a crowded room did you feel all alone?” That is exactly how I felt that day. At one point I was very close to openly crying, then I looked around the room at all of those folks who worked for me. I was their boss and if I could not keep it together, how could I expect them to? It took everything I could muster to keep it in.

I did cry later on. About 4:30 in the afternoon they let us go home but kept us all on call. I had to go to the far end of the base to leave because the base commander wisely decided to use only one gate for entrance and exit for security reasons. That changed my drive home from the usual 15 minutes to about 45 minutes. After I got off the base and was driving through town, I pulled over parked the car and sat there and cried for about half an hour.

I didn’t sleep much that night either. All I could think about were all of the fire fighters and police officers who had died that day and the likelihood that I would be deployed somewhere because of the war we were now in. I never did get sent anywhere but it certainly was a real possibility until the day I retired.

That’s all I want to share for now. I may post more about it later.

Casey Anthony Trial: The Verdict is In! :(

Well, as many of you know by now, Casey Anthony, has been acquitted of all the serious felony charges, including the murder of your young daughter, Caylee. SHe’s only been convicted of lying to the police, 4 charges in all on that, for which she can receive 4 years in jail, 1 on each count.

After all of the evidence that has been presented, I can’t understand how a jury can find her not guilty of first degree murder. There are hair samples & choloform from the car, duct tape and I think clothing at the swamp, plus the tattoo, partying and the fact that she didn’t report her daughter missing until her mother did 31 days later.

Plus there is the makeup of the jury itself. One member had several DUI’S, another had a drug conviction. Two of them were high school dropouts and one was afraid of people touching her. Add to that the fact that the prosecutors didn’t want these people, plus possibly six others to serve, yet the judge allowed them to. No wonder she was aquitted!

Finally, Bernie Goldberg made an interesting observation: If Casey & Caylee had been black, then this story would have only got about no more than 10 minutes of press coverage. Not only that, but I also believe that she would have been convicted of first degree murder and given the death penalty. In other words, she got away with murder because she is one rich, white girl!

I hope I don’t sound racist, because I’m not. It just seems unfair that young Caylee doesn’t get any justice, while her mommy is free to party and make more babies. Tonight, there is a Facebook event to turn your porch light on in honor of Caylee Anthony, if you are interested.
