I’m going for an interview at a nursing home tomorrow. Prayers greatly appreciated.
Also please keep the Long family in your prayers. Tina,(52) lost her battle with liver cancer today. She leaves behind her husband, 2 kids (in their 20s), and her parents. They are my next door neighbors, but are more like family. Thank You all so much.

Please Pray For My Friend Ann

My friend Ann has had some serious health issues for several years now. In addition to diabetes, she has leukemia and a huge tumor on her spleen. She has had several serious rounds of chemo, which have helped, but now she has developed new problems.

Her spleen is enlarged, & her liver might be affected. She has new, small tumors growing on the spleen & lymph nodes. She is doing chemo again & is exhausted all the time.

I might also add that prior to this, she was active in service to the Lord, through leading Bible studies at adult day care centers and support groups at our local county jail. She was also teaching Sunday school at her church & active in other ministry projects.

She and her husband, Ed, are really good friends of mine and I would like to see them more often than I do. Please pray for God to heal this dear sister in Christ and give her back her strength, so that she can continue to serve Him.

Pray for Jolene #2

Jolene #2 called me this AM. Evidently she had been in the hospital a couple of weeks ago with some breathing difficulties and pain. She’s home now, but regaining her strength very slowly. She’d like prayer for increased strength/stamina.
Evidently she had emailed me whle I was gone telling me some of this, but since I couldn’t get on-line, her email got lost in the glut of email I had on return home. But it’s never too late to pray!!

Under Spiritual Attack & Depression

Hi, y’all

I’m requesting prayer for relief from the tormenting, negative spiritual attack that’s been plaguing my mind lately. I’ve been dealing with lots of negative thoughts and depression for the past few months. I’ve tried reading my Bible, listening to Christian music, including SG, praying and everything, but nothing is working very well.

I’m currently under psychiatric treatment for bipolar disorder and was hospitalized last month, because these thoughts and depressing feelings became overwhelming. It’s like the devil is trying to destroy my mind and possibly my life, but he isn’t going to win! I will have victory in Jesus over him!

Anyway, please pray for me as I battle with this spiritual warfare and depression. I’d welcome some suggestions also for having victory over these thoughts, including Scripture. Thank you for your prayers!

Health Issues

I would appreciate the prayers of my friends here as I’ve been dealing with some health issues over the past three weeks.

There are periods of time during each day when I feel a combination of dizziness, weakness, and/or tension. One trigger is that if I stand for very long, I get tired like my legs just don’t want to hold me up. If I sit around most of the day, it still hits, but it’s more random then. An hour or two later after it hits, I may feel completely normal. It’s been particularly miserable this past week.

My doctor has checked all the usual fluid tests, blood pressure, temperature, etc., but those things are checking out normal. I’m scheduled for an MRI on my head on Thursday. I’m hoping someone cancels so I can go sooner than that.

Prayer for a Special Lady

Dear friends, I would like to ask you to pray for a friend of ours. She had a brain tumor some time ago and I thought she was doing well since the surgeon removed it. I just received word that she has another brain tumor and is not doing well at all. She is now in ICU while they are trying to stabilize her to get her ready for another surgery. Please pray for God’s healing touch to this special lady. For with God all things are possible! Thank you dear friends and God bless you!

Prayer for the Easter Family Requested

Just read on Facebook from Steve “Rabbit” Easter that his mother has passed away within the past hour or so. She was under hospice care, so this was coming. But please lift up Rabbit and Jeff Easter and the whole family in your prayers. Even though they are rejoicing cause she’s in Heaven, please pray for comfort for them during the next few days.

Employment

Friday afternoon - with no warning, I was told “we are making a change in management - please gather your things and go..now.” This came out of the blue with no warning. I have a 13 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. I was given no severance and was totally unprepared. Now, in my shock, I struggle with wanting to ask God WHY? I consider myself to be a fairly mature Christian and I know that I need to be asking “what’s next?’ instead. If it were just me, I’d be OK. But I struggle with letting my wife and children down. Please pray that I will be the Man of God that I need to be, and also pray that I will be pointed to the direction where God wants me to be vocationally. I don’t want to feel sorry for myself (although I’m doing a good job at it). I want to be excited about where God is taking us. Thanks for your prayers!

Gerald Wolfe needs our prayers!!!

Hey folks, our dear friend Gerald Wolfe needs our prayers. He is having sinus surgery tomorrow morning. Get on your knees and pray for him, his doctors and, everyone around him. Most of all, pray for his healing that he might be restored!

If it comes to your mind, please remember to pray for us as we travel this weekend. After our Sunday Morning Worship Service, the bus will roll toward Tennessee, and I will fly from Dallas to Atlanta to prepare for my surgery on Monday. Right now, I’m scheduled to go “under the knife” at 11am (Eastern), so your prayers around that time would be very much appreciated. Pray for my Doctor, Dave Edwards, and the other staff that will be involved. I expect everything to go well. I’m certain the actual surgery won’t be as un-nerving as the pre-surgery steroids I’ve been taking this week! Please be in prayer for Ms. Mildred and her family of Tuscaloosa, AL. She is the sister of Paul MaHarrey of The MaHarreys. When the tornadoes went through Tuscaloosa, they destroyed Ms. Mildred’s home. She and her family was left with nothing. They need all the help they can get at this time. Your prayers will go a long way as well as any contributions or items you’d like to donate.
