You haven’t heard a lot of the Cross Bridge Quartet, but if they keep working hard and keep persistent, they could make a name for themselves in Southern Gospel Music. Bloodline To The Ccross is still a very good CD that anyone will be able to find something they like.
The opening song "Available Light" was released to radio. It’s an upbeat song with a catchy tune that you will be singing after hearing just once.
The title song "Bloodline To The Cross" is a dynamic ballad that I think would do well on radio. The harmonies are very tight all through the recording, but on this song they are exceptional. One of my favorite songs on the CD is "He Never Dwells On My Past". The message is timely and strong and the hook, "He dwells in my heart and He dwell in my home, but He never swells on my past" is just the word that this generation needs to hear. The song selection is very good, however with just a few too many cover songs for my liking. This group is good enough and strong enough to be recording more original material.
Other songs worth listening to include "There’s A Homecoming", "Count Me In", "Here There Or In The Air", and "I Found Mercy". All in all this CD is a step in the right direction for Cross Bridge and not only shows the talent that they have, but also the potential of where they can go.
