XM Radio OnLine Welcomes Southern Gospel

WASHINGTON, DC(Press Release) - XM Satellite Radio, as part of its new XM Radio OnLine Internet streaming service, is launching a Southern Gospel channel. Southern Gospel is one of the most requested genres of musical programming that XM Radio does not presently provide.

XM Radio OnLine can be received on any computer with an Internet connection for a monthly subscription of $7.99, which gives the subscriber access to all of XM's commercial free music channels, with specialty programming such as the Bob Edwards Show from the XM Public Radio channel. The channel has been named "enLIGHTen!" and will air the full spectrum of Southern Gospel Music 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The new channel is being managed by Dan Dixon, longtime country radio personality and producer and host of "Stained Glass," heard several times a week on XM Radio's country channel, America, and Marlin R. Taylor, veteran radio programmer and executive, who has had a number of relationships with the Christian broadcasting and music industries over the years.

YOUR SOUTHERN GOSPEL MUSIC HAS BEEN A GREAT BLESSING DURING A VERY TRYIN TIME. ILOVE THE STORY TELLING OF THE QUARTET'S AND ESPECIALLY ENJOY AND LOVE THE GAITHERS, AND THOSE OLD TIMERS WHO HAVE PASSED ON TO GLORY LIKE VESTAL, JAKE HESS, AND SO MANY OTHERS. I REALLY ENJOYED DANNY GAITHER. PLEASE KEEP THE SONGS PLAYING YOU ARE BLESSING MANY FOLKS. THEY GIVE ME HOPE AND JOY AND DETERMINATION WHEN GOING THROUGH A TOUGH TIME. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
