Up and Coming Soloist Prepares for New Album

HOMEWOOD, Ill. – Eddie Crook Company and Morning Star Records recording artist Rod Burton is featured on the cover of the May 2008 issue of Gospel Music News. Gospel Music News is one of the leading print magazines dedicated to Southern Gospel Music.

The cover article, titled “Runnin’ In the Light”, features Rod, his music, family life, and more. Readers can head over to Gospel Music News’ webpage (http://www.gospelmusicnews.org) and subscribe to the magazine and read the story.

Rod was recently in the studio working on his brand new Morning Star Records release – Walkin’ In the Light. The new album is slated to release later this year. More information on the new album will be released at a later date.

Rod’s latest single, “It’s Wonderful to Know”, has become the singer’s first Top 40 single. The song, which has become a fan favorite, peaked at #35 last month on the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart.

Rod Burton said, “I am so excited to see how well this song is being received by radio and fans alike. I love performing this song, and it’s exciting to see how it is affecting those who hear it!”

Rod recently reached a sponsorship agreement with iPodJuice (http://www.ipodjuice.com), the leading iPod battery replacement company. Under the terms of agreement, iPod Juice will partner with Rod Burton Music in ministry efforts across the country. Rod will make available and display promotional materials about the services that iPodJuice provides at his ministry and concert events.
