Harmony Boys Lead Singer Takes a Sabbatical

GHB lead singer Greg Tingler has taken a sabbatical leave and will spend the next six months in Hobbs, New Mexico where he is providing top security access to individuals who are visiting the construction site of a nuclear energy plant.

Greg became part of the GHB family in 1972 when he came on-board to play bass while Harold Patrick was at the keyboard. Together they were a dynamic musical duo that accompanied a group of wonderfully talented men including Homer Fry, Sonny Sites, Grey Johnson, Calvin Thompson and Clacy Williams. Greg and Harold left the GHBs in 1978 to initiate a trio called the Sentries. After many successful years there, Greg went on to work with several other groups though serving as a 5th man with the GHBs all the while. He returned on a full-time basis from 1996 till 2002 and started his current tenure in 2004.

We look forward to Greg's return in July and are currently filling dates with other GHB family members like Dale Chambers and Rusty Ballinger until a more permanent artist is found. We are pleased that Scott's son, Richard is also working with us occasionally. Richard is an extremely talented young man and is the music director at First Baptist Dunbar. He is truly a pleasure with which to work and travel and you'll be hearing more about this young man in the future.

They will miss Greg. He's the vocal powerhouse with the Gospel Harmony Boys. I've heard them several times here in Myrtle Beach.
