Tell the readers a little bit about the history of The Glovers as a musical group.

The history of the Glovers as a musical group is a tad bit different than that of most groups in the Southern Gospel field. When we began our journey in this music, we didn’t even know the name of a single group within the industry. We were completely clueless to everything. In fact, when we completed our first CD project, “Oh Why,” we had never even been to a Southern Gospel concert. We were both saved at the age of 32, already married with two children then. We began singing at other churches a couple of years later, and then in 2002, God put us in touch with Les Butler, an incredible man of God within this industry. Shortly after that first meeting, our journey in Southern Gospel music began. We had no idea then what God had in mind for the two of us today.

You recently enlisted the help of your daughter to start singing full time with the group. How has that changed the dynamics of the group?

Our daughter has been an incredible asset to The Glovers. Not only has God brought her to our attention vocally, but He has shown us what an incredible young lady He has given us at the same time. She has come a long way fast with her talent, but she has also grown in a might way spiritually. We have so much fun together and can relate well to any audience where God places us. It is a tremendous blessing to have ALL of our family with us on the road.

Adam and Kathy have an amazing testimony. Share that with the readers.

That’s the most amazing part of all of this. We had NO idea whatsoever what God had in mind when we began. He has unfolded this ministry in a way that only He can do. As many of you have read in other articles and have heard in our concerts, God tremendous grace has brought both of us a long way over the past several years. He has healed us as individuals, restored our marriage, and brought our family closer together and closer to Him. As Revelation 12:11 states, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of their testimony,” that is by far the case with The Glovers. When we began to share the fact that both of us had abortions in our past (something we didn’t even share with each other until we were in the middle of our second CD project), our ministry absolutely exploded.

Where have you been able to tell your story?

Now that our purpose had been established, God has allowed us to share our music and testimonies at churches, concert halls, women’s and men’s events, schools, pregnancy crisis centers, church conventions, and today, God has placed us with Ambassador Speakers Bureau in Nashville, a Christian speakers bureau that will enable us to tell our story at pregnancy crisis centers all across the country. We are also in the process now of writing an auto-biography titled, “Hidden Secrets, Woven Lies” – overcoming the deep secret of abortion.

You obviously have a real passion for this area of ministry. Have you found any apprehension from people when the subject is brought up?

You know, this part of our ministry has been a true eye-opener for us as well as the church. We have learned so much since we started telling our story. There has not been apprehension at all, but the hardest thing is watching the church as they begin realizing that abortion is one of the deepest secrets and greatest weapons of shame that is being used by Satan within every congregation today. It has no boundaries as far as denomination is concerned. It doesn’t matter where we go, the secret is still the same and it is killing men and women of God emotionally and spiritually. Pastors even have a hard time dealing with this battle.

Tell us how songs like "Oh Why," "One Good Reason," and "Mercy Came Down" have been affecting listeners on the radio.

These songs have simply been a powerful tool to enable us to share our lives all across the country. The lyrics from these songs are incredible. They reach deep into the soul of God’s people and cause them to seek out the ministry that God has blessed us with today.

What has God been teaching you lately?

All things come in His time. And, if it is not in His time, nothing will ever be the same. He has taught us to trust Him even when we are scared. He has taught us to make ourselves available, and He WILL use us. He has showed us His incredible gift of grace by giving us five beautiful children in spite of our past with abortion. He has taught our entire family that true peace comes only from serving Him with all we have to offer.

What's next down the road for The Glovers?

Our brand new baby is just 12 days old as of this interview, so that will be a journey of itself. As we stated earlier, the open door with Ambassador is presenting itself to be an incredible opportunity to share our ministry as well as the book that we are writing. We are also due in the studio for tracking on a brand new CD project on the 23rd of this month.
