The Mystery Men visit Ernie Phillips
![]() Ed Crawford and the Mystery Men have just finished a new project. It is a tribute to the Kingsmen which Ed was a part of for ten years. During that time he was blessed to sing with many of the icons of our business, none of which were more significant than the “little giant” of gospel music, Ernie Phillips. Reader Comments
Until my voice changed in my teen years, I sang tenor. Lil Ernie was one of my biggest influences. He did a song on the Live In Alabama recording called Crossing Time. I would love to hear that song again. I hope I get the chance to meet Ernie some day. He's one of the best. And he deserves to be in the hall of fame. And he should be very proud of his son. Right now Eric is just as amazing as his father.
