This month we would like to dedicate this entire article to Southern Gospel’s DJs. They truly are the unsung heroes of the music industry! They sacrifice hours of their personal time and TRULY love the music they present on air. You will find them at concerts in their area, encouraging the fans, greeting the artists and LOVING every minute of it!
Since 1991 when I first came to work for Zion, I have had the opportunity to meet hundreds of the DJs in Southern Gospel. I am always touched by their sincerity and desire for others to hear the Gospel through song! They truly are an inspiration to me! Their passion for sharing Gospel Music is the driving force behind the hours alone in that control room! I believe that is a special calling!
Teresa Freeman, Zion’s National Director of Promotions states, "It is a joy to work with ALL my DJ friends. What a blessing to work along side them. We laugh together, praise together and share the GOOD News monthly! The DJs of this industry have been so good to me and I cherish their friendships!! And to think that I get paid to talk on the phone to my friends!!!" Teresa also shares some of her snapshots of DJ friends at concerts over the past month in this article.
