As we approach Mother’s Day, I would love for you to indulge me the opportunity to give honor to my mother. My mother, Pat Forbush Cohron is truly the most caring, loving and giving person I have ever known. Being a pastor’s wife has not always been the most luxurious lifestyle (especially those years we evangelized in a 32 foot trailer)....but she always managed to smile through the hardship. My sister and I have learned so much from her silent strength and the valuable lessons of life she has lived before us! Thank you mom for the beautiful example you are not only to your girls but to all who know and love you! You are a very special lady of grace and beauty and we love you dearly!
Another dear lady recently joined us in the studio..... Priscilla McGruder!!! She and Carroll were in the studio this month recording tracks for a new project. I do believe these people have church no matter WHERE they go! It was an amazing day and will be a project you will want to WATCH for! Carroll McGruder wrote or co-wrote every song on the project and as usual .... did an amazing job!! You should also know about a book that Priscilla McGruder recently wrote about her health crisis and the miracles that brought about her healing! The title of the book is "I’ve Just Started Living!!" and if you talk to her for at least 30 seconds you will understand what a magnificent work God has done in her life! Our condolences go to the entire Lester family! Their precious dad, Herschel Lester passed away March 21st. He died surrounded by his family members who sang to him as he joined the heavenly choir! We know that even as our hearts are saddened and grieve this loss the heavens rejoiced!!! Our prayers continue to be with The Lester’s in the coming weeks!
Kevin and I were privileged to represent Zion and Oak Valley Studios at two Music Conferences in March. Jackson College of Ministries hosts a Music Conference in Jackson, MS that we attended. In fact, Kevin contracted the sound for this event as well as the live recording for the Jackson Mass Choir concert on the last night of the conference. We also attended Indiana Bible College’s Music Conference in Indianapolis, IN!
