It's about time!! I wonder how many radios/subscriptions this might net XM. Since I already have mine, I can't wait!
I have been listening to enLIGHTen on my PC on XM
we get it on satelite (directv) and it is great having it.
I just learned that one of the other Christian channels, The Torch, is being bumped off the XM satelite feed. The Torch is a Christian rock channel. I was surprised, to say the least, that SG is for the moment considered more of a draw for potential XM subscribers than a Christian rock channel.
I'm glad SG is getting a shot on XM. The proof in the pudding will be in whether it remains in the lineup over the long haul. XM shakes up their lineup once or twice a year. It's essential for any SG fans adding XM to inform them when you register that you chose XM at least in part because they finally added the SG channel.

David is right on both counts. It's bittersweet news ... good for us but not so good for the young people who may move over to the myriad number of secular rock channels rather than the new re-formulated XM 32 ~ The Message which is now described as "Christian Pop & Rock."

I can't tell you how thrilled I am with this news. I received an XM2go for my birthday in Feb, and have regreted there was no Southern Gospel, Now I am really good to go with the gospel. Lenny Farmer
Enlighten has been on Direct tv for some time now if you have Total Choice Plus as your service. Channel 828, all time SG music.
I am thrilled that Gospel music is on xm. Frankly I was tired of my xm because of poor choices. I am not a Christian rock or contemporary christian music fan. I was raise on Southern Gospel and after hearing the Enlighten station, I am keeping xm.
Thanks for including Southern Gospel in your lineup of stations. I purchased XM Satellite radio several years ago for my family, but I never listened to it very much myself. Now I listen every day, and will definitely be renewing my subscription!
