Three Bridges - Soldiers

I had never heard of this young group prior to their timely release of “Dear Captain” after the September 11th tragedy. They are much more than a one song group. After listening to this CD, I am convinced that they will be around for a long time.

They open the CD with one of my favorites, so they got my attention right off the bat. “A Much Better Way” is an upbeat song that leaves you wanting much more than that little tag encore chorus they put on the end. The melody is very catchy and they message uplifting. This was a great radio release after “Dear Captain.”

While they have shown that they can perform new material more than adequately, their rendition of the classic hymn “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” is outstanding. It is full of feeling and expression. “Come On Out Of The Wilderness” is another toe tapping song that gets your motor running. Of course “Dear Captain” is just a tremendous song that should remind us all that we need to be praying for our President as well as other important Government leaders. “The Holy Heart” is a very worshipful song. It’s a blessing waiting to happen for you.

My other Favorite song is “The Soldier”. Although they add a few guests on this cut, it’s full of excitement and they show that they can sing with a good amount of “soul” Other good songs include “Long Winding Road” and “The Eleventh Hour”.
