The Redeemed - So Far

imageProducers: Kevin Stokes/Roger Talley

So far, the journey for The Redeemed has been grand.  The Redeemed have been singing and ministering for over 20 years.  So far, they have sung and preached the gospel to countless thousands of people.  So far, they have had numerous songs that have become favorites of their fans and have continued to be a tremendous blessing to all who hear.  This, their latest effort, is more than just a compilation of “best of…” songs.  Not being content to rest on their past history, The Redeemed are looking ahead and singing new songs to uplift and encourage the weary traveler.  But before we look at the new, lets look back at the songs that have made The Redeemed who they are.

Who can forget the many times the Holy Spirit would minister to those who needed to hear “HE IS THE RESURRECTION”, “IT WILL PASS”, “I MADE IT BY GRACE” or “BLESS THE LORD”?  How can anyone not remember the times of reflection when listening to “THE HOLY HILLS OF HEAVEN”, “SO MUCH TO THANK HIM FOR” or “PLEASE TELL ME AGAIN”?  What about the urgency of their message in “THERE’S NOT ENOUGH TIME” or “LISTEN SINNER, LISTEN”?  And lets not forget the sheer enjoyment found in the delightful “HEAVEN’S CHOO-CHOO.”  Yes, these are the songs that have brought them to where they are today.  This is The Redeemed…so far.

Now looking ahead, we find new songs that will continue them on their forward journey…
JUST ON THE OTHER SIDE”, written by group member Mike Davis, is the groups first single from the recording, and this song kicks!  Fans of The Redeemed have never heard the group like this!  This song is the best chance this group has had at breaking the top 10.  Exciting and exhilarating is the best way to describe this song…you’ll be hitting the repeat button quite a bit with this one.

Things slow down to a much quieter pace as Julia sings the sweet sounding “HE’LL TAKE ME THROUGH.”  Written by Adina Bowman, this song carries a message of hope and comfort that though “the way is rough, the storm is dark” He has you in His arms and He will take you through.

We know Heaven is waiting the saints and as this song says, we will surely have nothing but “GOOD TIMES” when we get there.  This song is also written by Mike and is a great song of reflection.

From the prolific pen of Kyla Rowland comes the powerful song “GOD’S WORD WILL STAND.”  No matter what the world says, “God’s Word will stand…it cannot fall.”  This would be an excellent follow-up single to “Just on the Other Side.”

The last of the newly recorded song is an old song done a capella called “THEY’VE MOVED OUR REUNION TO HEAVEN”, which reminds those that have loved ones who’ve gone on to Heaven that we’ll see them again at the Great Reunion in Heaven.

If you’ve never had a chance to hear the music of The Redeemed, this is the perfect recording to acquaint yourself with their music.  This is by far, the finest recording they have ever done.  One thing that sets this recording far above the others was the excellent vocal producing efforts of Kevin Stokes.  He brought the best out of the group vocally, and they should be very proud of themselves.  You will find yourself listening and being blessed by the songs on this recording over and over again.

These are the songs that will begin their journey for another 20 years.  Yes, this is The Redeemed; so far, so good…and the best is yet to come!

I have followed the redeemed for many years. They used to come to my church in Kentucky every year and we always had such wonderful services. I can not wait to get my hands on this new recording. My favorite song by the Redeemed is I Made It By Grace. What a great message. God bless you all
