The Lighthouse - March 2003

Can you believe it is March already? Where does time go? It seems like we just took our Christmas tree down a few days ago!

We have so many things going on and we are excited about what God is doing in our company. I have had so many calls from new artists and received quiet a bit of new material in the mail for review. We are getting things together for a new radio compilation. We have several new releases coming out. You will love the new single from Mike Upright! It is his first single from his debut recording, Hallelujah Handy. The title sounds interesting doesn't it? haha Just wait and listen to it! Also the new single from Kyla Rowland & Deliverance called "Still Thrilled." The Redeemed is releasing a live version of their new song, "Trusting His Blood," and Set Apart is releasing a song from their new recording called "Jesus Is Near." We also have some new artists on the radio compilation that I am anxious for you to hear. We appreciate all the dj's across the country for playing these talented artists.

Many of our artists are either in the studio or they have just released a new project. The artists who have just released new projects are Set Apart ("The Next Time He Comes"), Mike Upright ("Hallelujah Handy"), Kyla Rowland & Deliverance ("IV"), The White Family ("One Nation Under God"), & The Bowmans ("Greg, Adina, & Lindsay"). The Singing Echoes are finished with their recording and now waiting on product. (Gary Epperson sent me a copy of the new project for review. This is the best project that The Singing Echoes have EVER recorded. Be sure to get your copy from them! http://www.singingechoes.com) The Redeemed is finishing up their "Best Of" project called "So Far." There are several groups going into the studio in the next month or so please pray for them. We will give you updates on the Whisnants, Lewis & Lewis, The Primitive Qt, Divine Purpose, Vickie Daniel, The Rochesters & The Jody Brown Indian Family.

We appreciate the dj's playing the new song by the Whisnants, "What You Took From Me." The first time I heard this song I said to myself, now THAT is a #1 song. What a message is found in this song. Rodney Griffin wrote a masterpiece when he penned down these lyrics. The first verse says "Lord I've come today to thank you, but not for things I've ever mentioned here before. Not for blessings you have given or the joys you promised were in store. So as I bow before you, give me the words to express my deepest thanks. Not for what you've given but Lord for what you took away." The chorus continues: "You took my guilt and shame and all my sinful blame became as yours. You opened wide your hands as a guilty man you wore my crown of thorns. You took the death I'd earned and all that I'd deserved on Calvary. Lord thanks for what you've given but most of all thanks for what you took from me." What powerful lyrics!

We need to be thankful for everything that the Lord has given. I thank him for my family, my friends, my artists, and all the many people that are in my life. I thank him for every blessing he has bestowed upon me and my family. But nothing compares to what he took from me. My friends, my family, not even my preacher could take my sins away. They couldn't take away my guilt, my shame, or my sins! But the Lord took all that away the day He saved me! Sometimes we need to just bow and thank Him without asking Him for anything. Thank him for sending His son to die on a cross for OUR sins.

We have so many wonderful songs we are promoting and we thank every disc jockey for playing each and every one.

If you are an artist in need of radio promotion or if you need to send your new song out to radio please give us a call. We would be happy to send you information. Our office # is 423-357-7785. Or send us an email: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
