The Haire Family - Top Of The Mountain

If you are into the “country” sound, then you are going to enjoy this CD. The Haire Family has very good, close family harmony.

The CD starts off with my pick of all the songs on the CD. “Deliverence” is a very pretty song with a message of encouragement. Their harmony on this song is very nice. Pulling out an older, but very recognizable song, “That Sounds Like Home To Me”, you can lift your hands and worship the Lord while listening to this cut. “When He Spoke” is a cover song and it is well done. “Go And Tell” is penned by group members Trinity Haire Merrit and Don Haire is a song that I think would go well on radio. The message of the song reminds us that we need to go and tell others of what Jesus has done for us.  “Running To The Cross” could work well as an octavo for church choirs as well as ministering to the listeners of this CD. I think that this cut would also make a good radio song. This song is also penned by Trinity Haire Merrit.

They have performed a unique arrangement of the old “Dad” Speer song. “Heaven’s Jubilee” It’s full of energy so get your toes ready to tap. “Living God” is an uptempo number that gets your motor running with a cute little play on the man and woman of God word usage. Once again the harmonies are very tight. Other songs included on the CD written by Trinity Haire Merritt are “Top Of The Mountain”, “I Need My Savior” and “Least In The Kingdom”

I must say that every track on this CD is outstanding, strong and clear, yet not overpowering. My only complaint with their style of singing is that their vowels are sometimes “too” country, drawing my attention from the song to their pronounciation.
