MorningStar recording artists, The Benges are a family group with good close harmony. The CD has a good blend of original material and three older classics that they have given their own unique arrangements to.
The opening song starts with a little “woo” of a shout, firmly getting your attention for the rest of the song. This is probably my favorite song on the CD. The message is uplifting and promising life to be much better “One Of These Days”. The track moves right along with a little country touch to it. I would probably pick this one as a radio single.
The three “classic” songs that they veered from the traditional sounds of these songs are “Wasted Years”, Everybody Will Be Happy” and “When He Reached Down His Hand For Me”.
Two other songs that got my attention were “You Don’t Even Wanna Make Me Pray” and “Justified” Both songs move well and have the message of the songs written in very interesting ways. I don’t want to give it away, you need to hear them for yourself.
Other songs include “Let Him Pass”, “He’ll Lead Me Through”, “The Other Thief”, and “One Part Of His Robe”
