On February 8, 2007, a historic event in Gospel Music took place at the Homeland Offices in Nashville, TN when the "Alliance For Building Careers" held the first meeting of its Founding and Charter Members. The Alliance, also known as "Team ABC" is made up of Industry leaders who have joined forces to offer instruction, guidance, encouragement, and motivation to artists by providing a team with the highest standard of integrity. One of the members present at the meeting was quoted as saying, "Our industry is over-run with charlatans who have been taking advantage of our artists and the time has arrived for someone to take action." Fueled by a desire to protect the industry from unscrupulous practices and offer honest career advice and direction, "Team ABC" has adopted Proverbs 11:14 as it's credo: "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." (NKJV)
Each member of "Team ABC" has a unique area of expert advice they are willing to offer to artists and industry professionals. The Charter Members, all present at the meeting, are:
Lou Hildreth - a member of the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame, 2007 inductee in to the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame, veteran industry leader, TV Personality, Author, and a founding member of The Wills Family, Texas’ pioneer Family of Gospel Music.
Judy Nelon - Owner, Judy Nelon Group, a major publishing company whose catalog includes some of the world's leading gospel songs; She is an expert in the area of publishing, promoting and protecting the musical interests of artists and writers.
Donna Beauvais - a member of Hope's Call and a sought after vocal coach and producer,
Bob Crichton - respected Business Manager for the Booth Brothers
Philip Emery - owner of DJ Man Radio Promotions and knowledgeable in areas of radio promotion.
Keith Sealy – Multi-Media Producer, recording engineer and expert sound technician.
Bill Traylor - well known as a music industry leader, Bill is currently President of Landmark Entertainment
Paul Wharton - Award Winning Photographer and Graphic Designer
Amy Unthank – Co-owner of SSE Group which houses Southern Spin, Southern Spin Radio, Southern Spin Artist Directon, and SSE Design Group, as well as an award winning songwriter and member of Sunday Edition.
Chris Unthank – Co-owner of SSE Group which houses Southern Spin, Southern Spin Radio, Southern Spin Artist Directon, and SSE Design Group, as well as a songwriter and member of Sunday Edition.
Nick Bruno - a member of The Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame, Author of “The Gospel Music Truth”, award winning producer, speaker, mentor, and teacher.

I agree with all this. But this help usually comes with a big price tag which most of the targeted
goups don't have.

I think they probably are going to make themselves affordable because isn't that the whole idea behind the sentence that says, "Our industry is over-run with charlatans who have been taking advantage of our artists and the time has arrived for someone to take action."
I don't know...but I'm going to do my best to find out! We want to do everything we need to do to assist in reaching more people with the Gospel, yet at the same time we need to be good stewards of our finances! It would be wonderful to have access to this type of leadership!
Each member has their own set fees. I do know that as a team we will work with artists to give them the best advice, guidance and prices possible. As soon as the website is up and running, you can log on to get more detailed information about each member. Seminars and workshops are in the planning stages for this summer.
This sounds very interesting and I am looking forward to seeing where this goes.
