Poca, WV (Jan 20 2010) The Singing Shafers of Gallipolis OH have recently reached an agreement with Pathlight Promotions & Media Group for future radio promotions & media services. The Singing Shafers new single, "A Part Of Me" (written by Randy Shafer) will be released on the Pathlight Promotions Compilation CD for Radio Vol 2010-02 shipping to radio nationwide in February 2010.
The Singing Shafers were originally formed more than 50 years ago in the Southeastern Ohio Valley. A family ministy, including Randy, his sister Sue & their mother Gail. After more than a decade of ministry the group added 2 guitars & a mandolin to the group. Soon after they recorded their first album at Happy Goodman Studio in KY. After meeting some of the finest singers & musicians in the industry the family group was inspired to continue in the calling the Lord had placed upon their lives.
For years they continued in their family ministry until after nearly 3 decades the group disbanded to raise their families. Randy soon joined with Mark Hale of Harvest Gospel Studios to form the group "Sincere" & remained a part of this ministy for 23 years. In 2005 he left the group to spend time with a family member diagnosed with cancer. In 2007, along with his sister Sue, The Singing Shafers once again began their ministry. That same year, Randy won the State of Ohio's Harmonica Championship. He is an accomplished, vocalist, songwriter, producer & musician playing several different instruments. He is very active in his local church, recording & producing their weekly broadcast, "The Heartbeat", aired on 88.1 JOY FM radio & also shares a daily segment with Doug Miller, of The Concords, called "The Crossroads" also aired on JOY FM.
The Singing Shafers have recently been joined by 6 members of the KeeSee family called "New Touch". When The Singing Shafers & New Touch appear on stage together, you are in for an exciting, spirit-filled evening of LIVE Gospel Music.

We have been blessed by Randy Shafer's ministry in music for over a decade now. We've watched as he re-established the family ministry as "The Singing Shafers" by adding Sue, who is also a blessing.
