It isn’t often that you find a group with enough courage to record a whole project of classics, as the CD title “Timeless Treasures” indicates. With fourteen songs included on this CD, you really get your money’s worth of good quality singing.
Opening the CD is an old “spiritual” number “In That Great Getting’ Up Morning” which shows some nice Progressive Southern Gospel style. “I Believe” and “It Is No Secret” are two “inspirational” songs that are performed with class and feeling. Then there are several purely Southern Gospel quartet sounding songs like “We’ll Soon Be Done With Troubles And Trials”, “In The Sweet Forever”, and “When God Dips His Love In My Heart”.
No Treasures CD would be complete without a couple of very worshipful songs and this one is no exception. “How Great Thou Art” and “Peace In The Valley” fill that description very well.
Other songs I really enjoyed include “Going Home Medley” and “O Come Angel Band”.
