Pure Harmony - Wonderful Time

This young trio has a lot of potential and a great future. Consisting of Amy Roth (formerly of the Nelons), Wayne Bartlett, and Dewayne Porter they hail from the Winder, GA area, so Southern Gospel is a natural for them.

They have a nice mixture of songs ranging form some new material to old standards of the church. The CD opens with “Keep On Singing A Song,” an upbeat number that grabs your attention. Then you head into the great oldie. “In The Sweet Forever,” which is sung with that Campmeeting feel. You might do a little shouting on this one if you don't hold on to your seat.

“Only Day You Have” is a sweet ballad penned by Ricky Atkinson and features Roth. She sings it with such feeling that you want to make sure that you are doing everything for the Lord that you can TODAY.

“I Never Shall Forget,” penned by group member Wayne Bartlett, has a bit of a country flair to it, while “I'll Pray” is a song of encouragement for all men who sometimes struggle with the daily battles of life.

“Wonderful Time,” “Isn't He Good,” and “We Shall Wear A Robe And Crown” are all Nelon covers which Pure Harmony performs very well. With Roth a former Nelon singer, my personal opinion is that it only makes sense to use that to their advantage and develop a sound very close the Nelons. One suggestion I might make is a little light stacking to help give them a little fuller sound.

All in all, I am looking forward to seeing how this group progresses in the future.
