Priscilla McGruder is a lady I have the utmost respect for as a singer and as a person. Though I would never call her one of the most polished singers in Southern Gospel Music, she can deliver a song like very few performers can and she can reach inside you and pull on every single one of your heartstrings and touch your soul if you let her. She literally preaches a sermon when she sings. This recording is her second solo release to date, and every one of these songs is a testimony of her faithfulness to God, and God's faithfulness to her.
Many of the songs found on this recording speak directly to those who find themselves, like Priscilla has been, in need of a special miracle either physical or spiritual. Such songs such as “IT'S NEVER TOO LATE FOR A MIRACLE”, “DON'T GIVE UP ON HIM”, “ONE PRAYER AWAY”, “SHINE ON ME, SON OF RIGHTEOUSNESS”, “ALL OF MY AFFLICTIONS, ALL OF MY DISEASE” and the calypso stylings of “DANCE IN ADVANCE”, all offer hope in hopelessness, comfort in diverse times, and hope of a salvation that we cannot find on our own.
“MORE THAN TABLE GRACE” is a very profound song about the last days of Christ before the crucifixion and the Last Supper with His disciples. Also, Priscilla offers up an excellent song of praise with “ALMIGHTY GOD”.
I have to give special mention to two songs that I have found that really speak to me. “IT'S UNDER THE BLOOD” and “WE HAVE A SAVIOR” (originally recorded by the McGruders over a dozen years ago) are the strongest songs on this recording. With great conviction, Priscilla exuberantly sings both songs and I find myself listening to these over and over again.
This recording isn't for those seeking an entertainment value, but rather for those seeking more of a spiritual element in their music. (Not that there is anything right or wrong with looking for an entertainment value on music!) The lyrical content of this recording is rich with strong, meaty lyrics and each song cuts deep with moving thoughts and emotions. With the exception of the first and last song, the tempo of the recording, as a whole, moves along somewhat slowly. All but one song was either written or co-written by Carroll McGruder and they are some of his best efforts to date. This release offers so much more heart and soul, and musically offers much more than her previous solo effort.
Personal Favs: DON'T GIVE UP ON HIM; ONE PRAYER AWAY; IT'S UNDER THE BLOOD; WE HAVE A SAVIOR; ALMIGHTY GOD; DANCE IN ADVANCE

I just want to say I have been a fan of the McGruders for a while now and what I most appreciate about Priscilla is the THE Spirit behind her music. She is definitely anointed!!

Hey i was just wondering if anyone knew the Verses to the song,
Priscilla McGruder is one of the most anointed singers of our time. She is a blood bought, spirit filled powerhouse. That is about as polished as you can get.
i was 13 when i seen the mcruders perform in my home town of eastliverpool ohio we had church that day god bless you
I was in a very deep depression, and did not even know of Priscilla McGruder, until my pastor played me one of her songs. This anointed Minister of the Lord reached into my soul with her song "What looks like a mountain is just a hill". I am playing the song right now, and can hear it everyday. It's powerful to be used by the Lord. Definitely the most anointed singer I have ever come across. It indicates that she has an alter with the Lord, and this is what counts. She is skilful in the essential, and that is ministering to the hearer of the song
My husband an I love the McGruder songs, they have ministered to us as well as to others as we sing their songs in our Church. I would love to have the words to "Gotta have the Want To". I know the chorus, but I've misplaced the tape with the song. RL and Barbara Dixon are our Parents. We have seen you many times at different locations. Once at Souls Harbor Belleview, FL. Sorry to hear 'bout the passing of our dear and faithful Sister.
