If there was a title that fit Pam Seaman the most, it’s "I’ve Gotta Sing." Having known Pam and been a fan of her music for several years, this is her best effort to date; and does this girl ever more have something to sing about! Utilizing some great names in the gospel music industry such as Terry Blackwood, Gus Gaches, Jason Webb, Angela Primm, Jackie Street as well as CCM legend Phil Keaggy, Pam has assembled a monumental recording that really sounds great!
The uptempo "I SAW THE SON RISE ", penned by Pam’s husband Douglas, does an excellent job setting the stage for the recording and is one of the highlights of the recording, as is the soulful title tune, "I’VE GOTTA SING ", which Pam literally puts her whole-self into.
The medium tempo "THE ONLY THING " reminds us of the truth…"the only thing that's good in me, is Jesus ", while the worshipful "LILY OF MY VALLEY ", is Pam's strongest song and it is these types of songs that really showcase her wonderful talent and her heart.
The Praise & Worship style of "DWELLING PLACES " sets the pace for the next couple of songs, "FAIREST" and "SWEETER ", as they all fall more into that vein of music, and Pam performs them effortlessly.
The inspirational, "FOLLOW THAT DREAM ", features a superb duet with Pam and her vocal producer, Shannon Lewis, while the anthem, "TILL THE WORK IS DONE ", penned by Geron Davis, is a call to the church to "keep on shining, don't stop fighting, till the battle's won, keep on giving hope for living, reach them one by one, till the work is done." The worshipful, "WITH ALL I AM " brings the recording to an effective and reflective close.
Pam is such a soulful singer, and she reminds me of a softer version of Sheri Easter. While her style isn't exactly straight Southern Gospel, it works for her and the ministry towards women that she has. If you like Southern Gospel, with a bit of soul, Inspirational and Praise & Worship, then you will really enjoy the music of Pam Seaman.

Excellent CD! This review is right on. I Saw The Son Rise is indeed an excellent song. Pam has a very strong voice and this project shows her at her best. Good stuff!
