Living   Proof - Time   and Time Again

Produced by Kevin Ward
Recorded at Son Sound Studio, Bessemer City, NC – Kilowatt Studios, Murfreesboro, TN
Label Independent

It's not often that a young group catches your attention, but Living Proof has done just that. The tracks, the vocals, the song selection, everything about this CD is great. Living Proof consists of husband and wife team, Gaylon and Kendra Parker, and good friend Brent Mitchell

Starting with an old Heaven Bound song written by Jeff Gibson, "Glory Land," begins with that old time radio effect with just piano and static and then jumps into a big track sound with vocals that reach out and grab you. This upbeat tune is a great opening for the CD. It really sets the mood for the rest of the project.

Things slow down some with "My Soul Is Lifted Up". The harmony is exquisite and the backup vocals fit this song really well.

Group member Gaylon Parker puts his hand to the pen with "One More Time" and "Back Side of the Cross". Turns out he's a pretty good song writer too. "Back Side of the Cross", which is one of my favorite songs on the CD, tells the story of how Jesus paid for our healing before he ever got to he cross. It's a moving ballad that will stir you, especially if you are one who needs healing. "One More Time" is the story of Samson, and the lyrics remind us that if God can use Samson again after his mistakes, that he can surely still use us "One More Time."

Showing the diversity of the group, "Time to run," takes on a very progressive sound. I love the funky track and the message reminds us that time is running out to get the Gospel message to the world.

Living Proof go back in time and pick up the old Imperials hit "Sail On". They do a nice job on it and guest bass vocalist, Bill Lawrence of Gold City, is brought in to sing the Bass part of the song.

Other great songs include "This I Know", "It's Amazing", "I'll Sing For A Million Years", and "Light Your World".

This CD would be an excellent addition to any Gospel Music collection and is proof of the producing skills of Kevin Ward and the versatility of Living Proof.
