The Book of John

Boy I sure am late getting this one out. I guess turning the lovely age of 50, takes a toll on you …. LOL not really , I’m just later than usual, not a good thing.

I hope you all are ready for a good month.. We get to spring ahead even though the weather is not springing to fast. But hopefully it will catch up with the time change. Longer days more time to …….. work ? That is what we are supposed to do…right?

I am reading in the book of John this month, and doing a study along with it. I have been so blessed so far. God has a wonderful plan for us as his children. He has given us a path to follow and promises to lean on in times of trouble.

The book of John tells us about Jesus and his coming to set us free, that he is only the fore runner as we are today the fore runners for Christ, to let people know that Jesus is coming back for His children. Are you one of them? in Chp 3 he tells us that God so loved the World that he gave his one and only Son to die for us that we would have everlasting life, have you accepted Jesus ? then the book goes on to tell us that He is the vine and we are the branches… are your branches getting ready to leaf out for the spring ? next he gives us hope through the holy spirit, are you walking in the spirit ?

Then we go to the Crucifixion, where Jesus gave His life for you and for me to take the burdens of this life and the sins of our life and nail them to a cruel cross, He did not utter a word except for “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” Have you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins today and let him come in and be the king of kings of your life ?
Then Last He has Risen, Yes Risen indeed!!! And he challenges Peter and the other disciples to feed my sheep..

Are you doing what God has asked you to do? I know that I fall short everyday, but I hope and pray that I will be able to walk in the spirit, lean on His promises, and know that Jesus is the Lord of my life. I hope you do the same this month as spring rolls in and ole man winter takes flight. Let us get the nutrients that we need to have our branches spread out with the foliage of the spirit and the life of Christ that we may be a blessing to those that are looking for new life.
