Lamon Records Acquires Rushing Winds Studio

Long time friends Gary Rushing and Dave Moody partner for new venture.

Lamon Records Corporation is proud to announce the acquisition of Rushing Winds Studio in Dallas, North Carolina. Gary Rushing will remain Operations Manager of the recently upgraded state-of-the-art studio and also serve as Southern Gospel A&R Director for Lamon Records. "We're excited about the new venture," says Dave Moody, President of Lamon Records. "I've known Gary (Rushing) for a long time. He's built a great reputation in Southern Gospel music for his honesty and integrity and the quality of his work with independent artists. We want to build and expand on the success he's had for years to come. "

"Basically, everything will remain the same," says Gary Rushing. "We now just have a lot more to offer our artists and clients. Lamon has been steadily building its distribution and radio promotion presence in the industry, winning awards and charting new artists. Some of the artists we're currently working with and others we've worked with in the past should benefit greatly from our new joint efforts."

Rushing Winds Studios has built a long reputation of serving independent artists on their way to national success with quality music production, working with artists such as The Promiseland Quartet, Down East Boys, The Hayes Family, The Dosses, The Jay Stone Singers, CrossWay, Amy Lambert, The Statesmen Quartet, The Whisnants, The Praise Masters, and Poet Voices.

As a result of the new venture, Lamon Records' Moody Music Group will administer the publishing catalogs of Operation Laughter Music/BMI and Windy Creek Music/ASCAP, along with Lamon's current BMI, ASCAP and SECAC song catalogs. Gary's wife Sandy will also remain with the new Rushing Winds Studio as Office Manager.
