Kirk Talley - Hymns of Hope

Recorded at Poet Sound Studio, Ringold, GA
Produced by Kirk Talley
Label – Independent
Website - http://www.kirktalley.com

It is good to see Kirk Talley getting back in the groove and recording another project. This one is nothing elaborate, but rather a simple recording of great hymns of the church. In the simplicity of this CD, Kirk is able to put the expression of his heart into every song.

The song selection is really nice, because he has included some great standards like "Jesus Is The Sweetest Name I Know" and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", along with some meaty Praise and Worship numbers including "I Worship You" and "Hallelujah, Your Love Makes Me Sing". Adding to the diversity of the song selection, Kirk has included some older classic Southern Gospel songs that offer great hope for our lives such as "Marvelous Grace" and an electrifying duet with Allison Speer singing "I’d Rather Have Jesus", and a classic praise chorus from the 50s in "Peace, Peace". Of course no Kirk Talley CD would be complete without a song composed by Kirk and you get that in a cute little song "Judge Not".

This CD is just Kirk, with not many frills, but singing great Hymns of Hope in with a worshipful attitude that is ever present.

This CD has songs of hope, joy, and peace. Kirk does a great job of 'singing' the messages. I would not refer to "Judge Not" as being a cute song. It's a very serious song from which we can all learn a lesson about not judging others and not forgiving others. Listen to the words closely.
    Good job, Kirk!!
