Jimmy Fortune, Statler Brothers Tenor, Signs Recording Agreement with Song Garden Music Group

(BRENTWOOD, TN) - Song Garden Music Group of Brentwood, TN is proud to announce their affiliation with Jimmy Fortune, a member of the world-renowned Statler Brothers. Jimmy's newest project, "I Believe" will be released to the Southern Gospel Music Market on April 15, 2005. Robbie Hiner, director of A & R for Song Garden says, "We are extremely excited to have Jimmy joining our Song Garden family. Not only do we believe in him as an artist, but admire his testimony and his love for Jesus Christ. People who only know Jimmy as the tenor for the Statler Brothers will be blown away by the versatility of his voice".

Fortune was a member of The Statler Brothers for twenty-one years and is the author of classic Country Top Ten Songs such like "Elizabeth", "My Only Love", "Too Much On My Heart" and "More Than A Name On A Wall". He says, "Gospel music has always been a part of my life. The Statler Brothers had a gospel music segment on our TV show and it was the most popular. Now that I’m on my own more than ever in my life, I realize that God is my source and strength and I feel God needs everybody He can get who is on His side to stand up and say so." The largest majority of Jimmy's performances include major arenas, but he is eager to include churches and Southern Gospel venues in his schedule. Hiner adds that Song Garden Music Group intends to reach people in the secular market as well as the Gospel markets with what Jimmy's music has to say.

Jimmy Fortune is no doubt one of the finest men and singers I know. As one of the writers that was blessed enough to have two songs on his new gospel album, I have come to know him well, and have since become good friends with him and Nina. God has blessed this project from the start...Thank you Jimmy for listening to God...you are blessed!
