Hope’s Call, the dynamic mixed trio from Woodhaven, Mich., recorded its first live video at CrabbFest, the Crabb Family Homecoming in July of this year. The group’s program featured songs from their album on the Belmont Music Group label, Bright New Day, including the current radio single, “Keep On Keeping On.”
“Les Butler, who is very dear to us, did the introductions and the interview segments on the video,” said group member Donna Beauvais. “Rick Shelton of Centergy Music was there, as well as Brian Copeland from Daywind Publishing and Deon and Susan Unthank from SoGospelNews.com. Jeff O’Neal from our record company, Belmont Music Group was there and we had some folks down from Michigan. The whole audience treated us like family.”
“‘One Day I Will,’ written by Donna Beauvais, was probably the song that had the most impact,” commented O’Neal. “They group also included a very old and meaningful song, “How Can I Keep From Singing.” This song is an old Quaker hymn written in the 1890s, and their a cappella version of it was very moving.”
Plans are for the video to be available at the National Quartet Convention this year. Visit Hope’s Call at booth numbers 861/863.
