Hope’s Call – Live to Love

Producer: Kevin Ward
Label: Daywind Music
Website: http://www.hopescall.com

I can trace the moment I first fell in love with the music of Hope’s Call. It was NQC 2003. I had heard all the hype about them and broke down and bought their “Bright New Day” recording. From the very first song I was hooked. I love their music and I love their spirit. Their excitement about Who and What they sing about shines through like a bright beacon of light, piercing through the darkness. They truly are one of the most outstanding talents in this industry and it will be fun to watch and hear how well this new recording will do for them.

The title song, “HE LIVES TO LOVE”, penned by Chris Binion and John Rowsey and the highly enjoyable “SO GLAD IT RAINED” (both tunes sporting very cool music tracks) penned by Donna Beauvais and Rebecca Peck, gets the ball rolling exceptionally well before things slow down for the Chris Binion/Steve Cheney penned, “LOVE’S CALL”, which is beautiful story in song. Eddie Harrison sings the song flawlessly and is a highlight of the recording. (All three of the aforementioned tunes could really do well in radio, I believe)

The pace picks back up for the funk feel of “HE STILL DOES”, which features Donna and the tune leads very well the Inspirational tune, “IN JESUS NAME”. Featuring an exceptional performance by Jessica Harrison, all three (Donna, Eddie & Jessica) collaborated in the writing effort of this tune and is a great song in its own right, as is the acoustically flavored, “WE’RE HOME”, penned by Donna along with Tery Wilkins. Another nice acoustically flavored tune is the medium tempo song of faith, “I STILL AM YOUR CHILD”. (Great lyrics and I also want to note how amazingly similar the group sounds like the Martins on this song!)

Eddie is featured once again on the striking tune, “NEVER BEEN BROKEN”, written by Joel Lindsey and Sue Smith before moving on to an upbeat song penned by mother and daughter team, Donna and Jessica titled, “HOW LOVELY IS THE ONE”.

Two of my favorite songwriters, Joel Lindsey and Gina Vera collaborated to write the dramatic tune, “TOO FAR AWAY”, and the group’s performance of the song is breathtaking and the song should do exceptionally well for the group as their first single from the recording. I think it will be these types of songs that Hope’s Call will be best known for.

Jessica is featured on the soulful, jazz infested tune, “GOOD NEWS, BAD”, before Eddie and Donna turn in a stellar performance on the Dottie Rambo classic, “WE SHALL BEHOLD HIM” before the recording closes with a special “unplugged” rendition of their recent hit, “YOU ARE LOVED”.

Hope’s Call is refreshing by every sense of the word. They take a fresh approach to every song they tackle and they do it with such class. The harmonies, music tracks, song selection and production work is impeccable; just what one would expect from Hope’s Call.

Personal Favs: HE LIVES TO LOVE; SO GLAD IT RAINED; LOVE’S CALL; WE’RE HOME; NEVER BEEN BROKEN; TOO FAR AWAY; WE SHALL BEHOLD HIM

I was one of the fortunate few to pre-order this CD. I have had it since November of 2006 and this is my favorite CD.

Eddie is one of the best male vocalist in the industry and I believe sometime soon he will be nominated and recognized for the talent that God has given him. Donna and Jessica are also two of my favorite female vocalist.

The CD is encouraging and full of love. My personal favs are "In Jesus Name" which always helps me remeber why we do what we do as a ministry, "Never Been Broken" which tells us to love just as Jesus loves and "He Still Does".

This CD is truly worthy of 5 stars. Great reviwe James!

Eddie has been one of my favorite singers since he was just a little kid singing specials in church. This has always been his dream and it is a blessing to see what God is doing with his life. I am excited to hear about the new version of "You are Loved" (one of my favorite songs) I am sure it will bring out the purity and richness of Eddie's voice. I agree with one of the other reviewers that he will be recognized soon for the talent that God has blessed him with and that he has given back to God.
God bless all of you in Hopes Call as you follow his direction in your ministry. I am anxious to hear this new album!

We LOVE Hope's Call!! It's a good thing I am not charged with the task of reviewing this project, because there are not enough stars or words to express how awesome the Live to Love project is! Hope's Call is without question one of the most, if not THE most, talented ministries in the industry. May God continue to poor out His immeasurable blessings on the ministry of Hope's Call and their families.

We first met Donna at WyeBrook Baptist Church in Elverson Pennsylvania at the annual Gospel Jubilee sponsered by the church and former pastor Eugene Murphy I guess about 1993. She sang with a ladies group called {ONE HART} at the time.We fell in love with their group and were devistated to say the least when the group dis band and they went their own ways, all still singing but now with their own respectful families, but to those that knew them before things were still not the same. but as the years have passed we have seen God bless all of them.Hopes Call are special people {SINGING SAINTS} They have a true heart for ministry and they can entertain you and bless you like no other group i've ever witnessed!
