HisSong

Your Group had a big year in 2004 both professionally and personally. Fill everyone in on what has happened with the group!

God has blessed this ministry in such an awesome way. It seems that each year greater things keep happening for HisSong. We have seen hundreds of people give their heart and life to Jesus and many lives changed. God ordained the 3 of us (Dennis, Gary & Adam) to minister as a team and, it is not a one-sided ministry. We all have the same focus - which is first and foremost to see the lost come to know Jesus, but also to see those who have been struggling from depression and sickness to be lifted up and be encouraged.

We released our 3rd project titled "Three" in 2004 with some of the greatest material. Our current release from the project is the last single from the project "Three" called "Closing Time". This is truly a song for the day that we live. We look around and see all the signs pointing to the day that Jesus Christ comes and takes us home to be him. Kyla Rowland was truly anointed by God when she wrote this song. “Closing Time” is being played at Solid Gospel and many other southern gospel radio stations across the country and doing GREAT. Radio stations have embraced the song, and we appreciate them all so much. Radio DJ's are a great part in what we do, and words can not describe how much we appreciate all of them. If you have a southern gospel radio station in your area please support them and let them know how much you appreciate what they are doing. They play the greatest music in the world - "Southern Gospel Music"

We are currently in the recording studio working on a brand-new project with Dove award winning producer Wayne Haun. This new project is definitely going to have something on it for everyone. We have used some of the greatest musicians in the business including a live orchestra on many songs which we feel is incredible. The project is scheduled to be released around September or October. This new project will truly speak hope to those who are hurting. It will speak comfort to those who have been grieving from the loss of a loved one – it will bring you into the realm of worship. Songs on the project will speak to those who are lost. If a song ministers to us then we know the song is going to minister to the people, and that's what it's all about.

What's next up to bat for your group?  In other words, what do you see in the immediate future for your ministry?

We see much growth, and we see HisSong going to places we have never been and reaching the young, middle age and the older. We don't want to be focused to just one age group, but we want to minister to all ages and races.

Tell us about your worst and best concert experiences lately.  Something the fan will love to know about you!

Hmmm let's see, the worst I guess would be when we sang at a church in Illinois and before the Sunday morning service the Pastor told us they do not give altar calls. This is something we always do, the three of us talked about it and at the end of the service God worked it out where people came to the altar.

We have so many great concerts in churches and auditoriums but we have always had a tremendous time working with Pastor/Promoter Bill Bailey. This has opened up so many doors for us.

What are the long term plans for your group.  What's the future hold for your group?

As we have said before, we see nothing but growth for the future, and we are looking forward to working venues we have worked before as well as many new ones.

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." Matthew 16:24.

These three men truly live this scripture. I am blessed every time I am in a service with HisSong. These guys live what they sing. As long as I have breath, I will support them in everyway that I can.

Hissong was at my church Sunday morning and night. I have never been in a service like this in a long time. They follow the leading of the holy spirit. After the second or third song people began to go to the altar and they began singing songs with the piano and prayed with the people who had come forward. Sunday night was the same way, they wasn't concerned about getting to sing all the songs which was probably on the program but they took the time to pray with people. I promise you will not find a group who loves the lord any more than Hissong.

May the blessings of the Lord continue to shine

What a great article on Hissong. I saw this group a couple months ago in Texas and I was in total amazement how wonderful the harmonies but most of all they knew what they were singing about.

I didn't have to sit and guess if they loved Jesus, it showed all over them. I love seeing groups that you don't have to look twice or keep guessing if they are singing for the right reasons.

I can't wait to see Hissong again soon.

I hope everyone has the priviledge of hearing HisSong soon, they are really great singers. They have a friendly personality, they`re sincere christians, they have wonderful testimonies with their great songs. When you hear them, I know you will enjoy Gary Winningham, Adam Elrod and Dennis Humphries. And I think you`ll agree that they are one of the best male trios today. And just listen how true their great song "Closing Time" is

I haven't yet had the privilege of hearing His song in person but I have had the privilege to hear closing time on solid gospel in Portland, Oregon everyday. Sometimes I get really lonely and down here but then I hear this song on the radio and it lets me know that one day I want be lonely or sick but I'll have a new body.

The wheel chair that I'm in due to an accident I was in a couple years ago will be no more at closing time.

I hope His song can come to Portland, Oregon sometime as I would love to see them and have them sing this song just for me.

    Margaret,
God Bless You for your fine letter, you see I too know what it is like to be in a wheelchair, but thank God I`m now out and I thank God. Yes HisSong`s great song "Closing Time" can make all think about that wonderful time when IT`S TIME TO GET ON HOME. That day is surely almost here.

  20.    Paul Lambert ~ 07/29/2005

You guys are doing a fantastic job. I guess I should re-phrase that.....when you are working for the Lord you don't consider it a job....it is a ministry. Keep it up and hope to see you in concert soon.

  21.    Rev. John Tyson ~ 08/21/2005

I have had the group "Hissong" several times and have them booked thru 2006. Words to describe this group would be... anointed, sincere, pure harmony, integrity. These guys sing gospel music for the right reason.
