HisSong Welcomes Adam Cannon as New Baritone

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Diamond Award winning trio HisSong is pleased to announce the addition of Adam Cannon as the group’s new baritone singer. Cannon is replacing Gary Winningham who left the group earlier this year. Dove award winning producer Wayne Haun had been filling in for the group until a suitable replacement had been found.

Dennis Humphries said, “The past few weeks have been busy traveling and auditioning people for the baritone position. We have come across some wonderful singers. Our record producer Wayne Haun traveled with us for a few weeks filling in, and he did an outstanding job.”

Adam Cannon is from Marion, Illinois and is 19 years old. Adam's influences growing up were Glen Payne, George Younce, Vestal Goodman, The Gaithers, and many others.

“This is Adam’s third weekend traveling with HisSong, and he has already won the hearts of so many people,” mentioned Dennis. “Adam was raised listening to southern gospel music and always knew that one day he would be singing full time. He also has wonderful support from his Mom, Dad and Grandparents. They traveled from Marion, Illinois to be with us the entire weekend. We hope you will come be with us soon and meet Adam. You will love his spirit, and you will know immediately that he loves Jesus. You will feel the anointing on his life and the love he has for lost souls. He is already gaining fans from the young, middle aged and the older people who have attended a HisSong concert.”

The new album is filled with songs by some of the most sought after songwriters in Gospel music, including the producer of the new album, Wayne Haun, who wrote & co-wrote many songs on the new project.
