Celebrating record subscribers and visitors, the increasingly popular Gospel Music Times has been purchased by an as yet un-named partnership from the 145 Music Group.
According to David East, recently-appointed GMT Publisher/Editor, “Working with 145 Music Group has been a fantastic experience. They gave me full control over the Gospel Music Times and allowed me the freedom to change the site layout, add new features and a new, more robust “back end” for the website. We’ve seen incredible growth over the last few months, and I’ve realized that I’ve found my niche. I will remain with the Gospel Music Times as Publisher/Editor.”
David went on to say, “While discussing my future plans for the Gospel Music Times with the potential new owners, I discovered that we are on exactly the same page concerning where the website should be in the coming months. 145 Music Group was hesitant to give up the e-zine and website but, after several conferences, they determined the best thing for the Gospel Music Times was to let it go.”
Home of the only 100% fan-voted chart in the Southern Gospel Music Industry, the ever popular “Gator” and “Heartline” feature articles, the Gospel Music Times is read by people of all walks of life. “You wouldn’t believe the amount of positive feedback we are getting,” David continued. “There is more to come with even more new and interesting features and bigger and better chart voting. I can’t tell you everything, but it will be fantastic! But I want to reassure our readers that everything will continue as it has been.”
David will continue to remain in control of the bustling e-zine as Publisher/Editor, a position he has been very successful in. The Gospel Music Times will be transformed into an LLC tentatively called “Gospel Music Times of Indiana LLC”.
