Gospel Music Radio Issues Macedonian Call

image A Macedonian Call issued by a gospel radio station in Atoka, Ok was answered by two concerned brothers in Christ. Tommy Mayo, a gospel concert music promoter and Ron Jarman, a gospel recording artist joined forces this Thursday August 28th with John Reuben, President of KEOR radio to host a Sharathon that was designed to raise much needed funds for this small to medium market AM station. The day was a success. The radio audience heard the Word, enjoyed good music and helped raise funds to keep gospel music on the air.

KEOR is one of the two gospel stations in Oklahoma that is a national charting station. The downturn in the economy that has hit Oklahoma has affected the advertising revenue of this small, but far reaching station. John Reuben has been running this station and the host DJ for almost 18 years. "His dedication is second to none and he has done much to help countless numbers of Southern Gospel Music groups," says Tommy Mayo. "We need to do everything we can to support faithful men who spend that much time in the ministry of Southern Gospel Music."

"I met John Reuben a couple of months ago when I was visiting some of our radio stations and was impressed by his faithfulness in serving the Lord through this radio ministry," said Ron Jarman.

The work is not done, a challenge has been issued by Ron Jarman and Tommy Mayo for other concerned Christians to stand in the gap and offer their services for the cause of Christ.

John Reuben, is a very fine Christian Gentleman, that has dedicated almost 18 years of his life to promoteing Southern Gospel Music through His Radio Ministry at KEOR. I personally think, that He has been overlooked by many in whom He helped to further their career through the airing and charting of their songs through the years. I am proud to have John Reuben as my personal friend as well as a Brother in Christ..should the need arise again, I will be there for Him as He has been there for others and myself many TIMES. May God Bless You John Reuben Abundantly and thanks Ron Jarman for sharing this news article for everyone to read..God Bless you and GeorgeAnn Abundantly also!.

I would like to encourage Christians to stand up for what they believe and do what they can to help support gospel music radio.

Businesses would rather advertise on secular radio than gospel radio. Maybe we need to try and encourage businesses to start supporting gospel radio. Let's show the world we care.

Yes, all of us do not need to take for granted that any given Gospel Music..Christian related Radio Station is permannent..it can be replaced with a new format within hours..as this has happened in many instances over the years..and I for one, have been involved in a couple of those situations myself..here today..gone tomorrow.Sad to say, most businesses, think Christian Gospel Music Radio does not bring in enough revenue to advertise!. We do need to encourage the businesses to step out in Faith and advertise and we in turn need to support those businesses that do advertise and tell them how greatful we are and purchase products from them!.
